PIA Symposium - Salvin Door Prize
Salvin Dental Specialties is providing a Mandible Bone Loss Model Set for a door prize ($109 value) at the Perio-Implant Advisory Symposium in Scottsdale. We will draw the winner at the end of the last session, “The Hidden Costs of Implantology,” presented by Chris Salierno, DDS, on Thursday, October 14.
The mandibular model series shows the progression of bone loss due to tissue-supported dentures. It inspires patients to choose dental implant-supported restorations to prevent bone loss by stimulating the bone as a natural tooth root would.
Features of the Mandible Bone Loss Model Set (#MOD-MM):
- 4 mandibles show progressive bone loss
- Shows benefits of augmentation and consequences of no treatment

Correcting Implant Malposition
Implant malposition can start at the initial osteotomy. Using a typical twist drill to correct the insertion path can be difficult because of the shaping design, especially in dense bone. One method to move the osteotomy bodily is with a Lindemann bur. This bur is side-cutting and designed for lateral movements.
Join us for the Perio-Implant Advisory Symposium on October 14–15 in Scottsdale, AZ, to learn more from Dr. Scott Froum and other experts in the field.

Covid-19 Testing for Dental Office Staff
A recent July study in the journal of clinical infectious disease looked at medical health care workers who contracted #covid19 and reported that 42% of those testing positive by serology tests showed no symptoms and were not aware they were positive while treating patients. One safeguard against this is to test the office personnel frequently and work with a lab that can get you reliable results often and quickly #nycperiodontist #nycdentist #thesafedentist #coronavirus #test @trugenx
