Chuck Tennin of Big Fish Music in Los Angeles, has a long and varied career in the Music Business extending back to 1968 when he beganwork as Production Assistant and 2nd Engineer to the "LEGENDARY" Mixer, Engineer/Producer Ray Thomas (with 450 albums to his credit). During this period, Chuck Tennin participated in numerous recording projects, both live and studio, with "LEGENDARY" Artists such as
Neil Young, Aretha Franklin, Steppenwolf, Elvis Presley, Procol Harum, CSNY (Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young), Jimi Hendrix, Lowell George (of Little Feat), Little Feat, George Benson, Peter Frampton, Rolling Stones, Ike and Tina Turner, Neil Diamond and many others. Following this period, Chuck Tennin embarked on a long journey through multiple riches within the Music Industry, including manager, club promoter, album art director and record producer. Chuck also spent four years working for Hollywood-based H.D.M. Records/Murrel Music as a professional music manager, joined the Country Music Association (as a CMA Sterling Member) and Academy of Country Music (ACM); served as a song contest judge for the American Song Festival for 11 years (the largest song writing competition in the world), until it's close in 1984, as well as three years judging for the Colgate Country Showdown (a country version of American Idol on radio stations across the country); and conducted workshops and song critiques for the National Academy of Songwritings (NAS), Nerthern California Songwriers Association (NCSA) and Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase (LASS). Chuck Tennin formed his own Music Publishing Company in 1974, and he named the company Big Fish Music after a suggestion by: his friend Lowell George (of Little Feet), followed by a sister ASCAP company, California Sun Music. Big Fish Music publishes and licenses all types of music to all outlets and users of music, including recording artists, motion pictures, T.V. and film projects, and other users of music as well as artists and songwriter development projects-but has developed a specialized focus in background and theme music for television. Over the years Big Fish Music has placed numerous songs with NBC's "Passions" television show, as well as with ABC's "General Hospital" and "All My Children" on CBS, Chuck Tennin has also worked with Jeffery Steele, two time songwriter of the year for the Country Music and the "LEGENDARY" Gospel Singer Andrea Crouch, nine time Grammy Winner.
