Summer holidays done! I've recorded a lot of summer adverts and back to school commercials as a voiceover, but this was my first actual summer hols as a Mum. I'm not saying we smashed it entirely (who does right?!) but I think we did ok with the work/play balance and learned a few things along the way of course.
Lots of love if you're getting back into some sort of normal routine this week too.
Enjoy the 'juggle free' work time but maybe let's have a coffee and five minutes to ourselves first - I'll be in my studio, hiding from the epic post hols mess in the house! 😉

I think......! Ok so here's where I admit that this is my first school holiday rodeo and although I've being working from home for years and did the work/parenting juggle in lockdown, I'm feeling a little anxious. Will I have enough time to spend with the rascal but still enough time to work? Have we planned enough fun stuff and days out? Have we got enough/too much childcare?
There's so much pressure to create wonderful summer memories with your kid while still carrying on like everything is normal at work, especially if you're self employed. I'm very lucky, I work with lovely people who are in similar situations and really do understand, but if you're a school holiday pro, I'd love to know your advice! How do you do it? Or do we just wing it and hope for the best?!

You may have heard my voice between the songs on the Heart radio network! I also record commercials for radio, TV and social media, corporate explainer videos, on hold telephone messages, live events and everything else in between.
Before voiceovers, I was a radio presenter, where I fell in love with the powerful way audio connects, one to one. I’m still hooked on creating that connection with my voiceover work!
Building relationships with my clients is one of the things I love most about my job. I feel lucky I get to work with amazing people, and happy clients who come back again is the biggest compliment I could ever receive.
