Just over a week away for the Backcountry Rise races! Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it this year, but stoked for everyone who will get to enjoy all the glorious sights out there! It’s guaranteed to be a good time with @daybreakracing !
We shot this video 5 years ago I think! So crazy! I remember I was pretty destroyed afterward… having run the 50k course with all my camera gear, trying to keep up with all these speedsters. Worth it! :)

On a shoot, I’m very selective of when I use a drone. Now days drone’s are easily accessible and therefore have a tendency to be way over-used in productions. Need a filler shot? How about a drone shot? 👎🏼

When I do use drone shots, I like them for establishing story context and location scope. My rule: The drone shot MUST help tell the story, not pull viewers out of it.
