The media has us scared, but proactive real estate agents and business owners are preparing for when this blows over - to come back stronger than ever.
There’s no doubt we are in uncertain times right now (April 6th, 2020 at the time of writing).
And like many industries, it’s affecting REALTORS®.
What’s going to happen to the market? Are buyers and sellers going to just hold off? Will my closing, or closings actually close?
I mean, it’s flattering that real estate is considered essential, but what does that mean if people are told to stay at home? Or scared to leave their home?
What can you do?
Well you can panic, but that will likely only make things worse.
You can bury your head in the sand and just pretend nothing is happening, but not facing reality could makes things worse just like panicking.
What if instead you could position yourself to prosper for when this thing finally blows over?
That would probably be pretty pragmatic, wouldn’t it?
Look, I don’t at all claim to have all the answers, or that I know how this whole thing is going to play out; because no one does.
All I know is what I am doing for myself, and for my clients - and that it’s working.
So I put together this presentation called “Positioning To Prosper" to hopefully help shed some light on some things you can be doing yourself.

Kind of like social media - it’s the highlight reel of our lives.
Or like a resume. No one is ever going to list a reference that isn’t going to talk highly of you.
We marketers and marketing agencies are no different. We are quick to post our best campaign results, but not so quick to talk about the reality of marketing and lead generation - that these things can and do take time.
And I’ll admit that I’m guilty of this as well, but I think we can all agree why this is; it doesn’t take a marketer to figure out that “check out these not so great results” is the best headline to run with.
So I shot this video to talk about what no one is really talking about. That certain marketing angles and concepts can sometimes suck. They can outright fail.
It’s how the professional uses the failed attempts and flopped strategies to pivot and try new things. The amateur gives up - the professional digs in.
