Just been watching the first series of Traces on iPlayer. After a while this character called Drew started to look familiar. As the credits rolled up I saw that the actors name is John Gordon Sinclair. Then I remembered that I had photographed him a few times ages ago before the dawn of time. Hardly recognisable now as that fresh-faced young man.

Britains No1 wanted armed robber and multiple prison escapee John McVicar who I photographed at his Battersea mansion flat. I think it’s true to say that journo Alan O’Kelly and I Approached this job with some trepidation. Though in actual fact McVicar was agreeable but serious.

Cadbury’s church, Bourneville. No chocolate in sight. Shot this from the pulpit. Built for the residents and workers in the chocolate factory, My aunt worked for Cadbury. They were allowed to eat as much as they liked. However, after a couple of weeks all chocolate cravings had gone. On the plus side she often brought back a bag of wonky chocs. She was my favourite aunt. I’m easily bought.
