This weekend the OC film class participated in the Oklahoma City 48 Hour Film Project! We made a whole move in 48 hours! Don't miss it, come watch this Friday at Metro Technology Centers @7:00pm.

In a little under 3 weeks, The End will be showing at the Will Rogers Motion Picture Festival on Thursday, November 2nd. The film is currently scheduled to start at 10:08 am, however, film times are approximate and could be subject to change.

All films will be shown at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and will be free thanks to the Cherokee Nation!

Production on "The Seed" has started!!

We would like to take time to thank everyone who has made this film a possibility to us. We can't imagine how to show our appreciation for all the support we have received. The best we can do is make a great film that glorifies God and honors the legacy of Dave.

We thank you for giving us a chance to make that happen.

Synopsis:
18 year old Faith Arden moves to college and discovers her faith in God is perhaps not as unshakable as she had previously believed. When she meets David Ellsion, a sarcastic atheist with a tragic past, she has to adapt her faith to incorporate the idea of suffering. As the two get to know each other and exchange various belief systems, they begin to fall for each other, but David cannot bring himself to truly trust in a loving God, which impacts his relationship with Faith. In turn, Faith realizes that she must have a steady faith in God, and must learn that she cannot control another person's belief.
Character Bio:
Faith Arden (18-20)
College Freshman, has not had time to think about the world and all of its nuanced contradictions. Bubbly, sweet, shy. Probably the type of person to do all of their homework seven days in advance.

Hello all alumni and people of this page! We want to get YOU in our film! Sept 29th and 30th we need several extras to be in the background of our film. September 29th (evening) we are filming a church scene and need lots of church goers. September 30th (morning and afternoon) we are filming a coffee shop scene and need a few customers. Feel free to bring work, book, computer, etc to do while there. If you can make it, please send an email to [email protected] expressing interest of being there. If you are not sure but might be, also send an email so I can get you marked down as a maybe.

We are also in search of two house locations to film at so if anyone is willing to open their house up to be filmed please also reach out to that email!

College Sophomore, Has endured a lot of suffering in his life due to his dead girlfriend and alcoholic mother. Witty, sarcastic, probably the type of person to make self-deprecating jokes and play it off like they were just kidding but deep down those things haunt them and cause them to cry at night. Jada’s best friend.
Jada Dominguez (19-23)
College Sophomore, blunt, cocky, kind, stubborn, kind of a mess but plays it off like she doesn’t care about it. The type of person to dye her hair purple and exclusively shop at Hot Topic. David’s best friend.
Professor Isaac (60+) [shoot dates Sept 29th, Oct 1s & 8th]
An eccentric, older professor who uses his sarcasm and intensity to get his message across. A genuine, popular professor amongst the students.
Janice Arden (Mid 40s) [shoot dates Oct 6 - 7th]
Faith’s mom- loves her daughter, very kind hearted and full of worry for Faith.
Michael Arden (16-18) [shoot dates Oct 6 - 7th]
Faith’s brother- rambunctious, never had to struggle with faith and Identity the way his sister does. Teases his sister constantly.
Doug Arden (Mid 40s) [shoot dates Oct 6 - 7th]
Faith’s father- sarcastic, loves his wife, full of dad jokes.
Linda Ellison (Mid to late 40s) [shoot date Oct. 5th]
David’s mom. Alcoholic- not much is known about her.

Big day tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the big day! Come out to FLY Film Festival bright and early at 8:30 am for the debut of The End - Short Film! Get there a little early as the showing will likely start on time.

We are excited for everyone to see what the students have worked hard on through the many obstacles and difficult situations this past year.

Hello,

I am currently a student (going into my senior year) at Oklahoma Christian University majoring in Film and Media Production and I am reaching out to you today to invite you to join us in creating a film that not only captivate audiences with its compelling story, but inspires them to believe in the power of perseverance and faith in the face of adversity.

“Seeking the Unseen” is set on the picturesque campus of Oklahoma Christian University where a group of diverse students find themselves questioning the purpose and meaning of their lives amidst the chaos of academia. As they navigate through the rigors of college life, they each face their own spiritual and existential dilemmas.

We are currently in the fundraising stage and are seeking generous donors who believe in the power of storytelling and are willing to support our creative endeavor. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us cover essential costs such as set design, costumes, craft services, travel, locations, and more. It will also provide our young filmmakers with the opportunity to work with professional-grade resources, thus enhancing their educational experience.
We are deeply passionate about "Seeking the Unseen" as this film will be in honor of our professor David Jurney who poured so much into our lives. It will also be prepared to be sent to the Austin Revolution Film Festival where they have set a block aside for Christian films in Dave's memory. We got a special Double Feature Tomorrow Night. The OC Communication Program invites everyone to a Celebration of Student-Produced films Produced by Professor David Jurney.

Join us at 8:00 PM on April 25 in Judd Theatre for a screening of two of David Jurney's award-winning films and a sampling of students' award-winning projects crafted under his direction.

We will be screening The List - Short Film and Assisted Living.
