After participating at the Pocono Liars Author Expo on June 21, Christopher Ochs with his new book, ‘Eldritch, Inc’, at the:
Book and Puppet Company
161 Northampton Street, Easton, PA 18042
Sunday June 22, 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

When an alien intrusion mutates his fiancée into a horrific monster, grad student Michael Yeager is dragged into a world of magic, super-science, spirits, demigods, parallel realities, and amazing coffee.

Given the choice of joining Eldridge & S.Q.Amos, Inc. to find a cure for the woman he loves, or lose her—even his memory of her —Michael doesn’t expect that an out-of-the-way insurance company is Earth’s sole protector against the malevolent forces that crawl out of the darkness…
..nor the unearthly secret that ties him to Eldridge. Who knew preventing Armageddon required so much on-the-job training?!
The X-Files meets The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy in this whimsical scifi–fantasy– horror mashup!

Christopher D. Ochs dove headfirst into speculative fiction with his epic fantasy Pindlebryth of Lenland. From tales scare-tested with live audiences, he crafted a collection of mirthful macabre short stories, If I Can't Sleep, You Can't Sleep. His gritty urban fantasy/horror, My Friend Jackson, won Finalist in Indies Today's Best Books of 2020. Eldritch, Inc. hit the streets running, premiering at Philcon 2024. His short stories have been published in several award-winning anthologies.

Chris is a member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA), Pennwriters, the Bethlehem Writers Group, and the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group (GLVWG). If you can’t make it, you can find Chris at www.christopherdochs.com

“Fifteen Keys” by BWG member, Peter J. Barbour, just hit Amazon’s Hot New Releases for Teen & Young Adult US 19th Century Historical Fiction eBooks.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FB16SSQL/

In 1890, from a remote village in the Pacific Northwest, three teenage boys undertake a challenge, a rite of passage, to find fifteen "keys" that will help them grow into responsible adults and enable them to return home and become leaders in their community. They face challenging terrain, untamed wilderness, hostile weather, and a host of odd characters, any of which might delay or defeat them in their quest. But each experience has a lesson to teach the boys--a key to their development as young men.

Meanwhile, their cousins, too young to join them on their journey, wait at home, caring for their livestock, learning lessons of their own, and hoping they will see their kindred again. Will the boys be able to surmount their obstacles and return home, or will the dangers they face get the better of them, forever separating them from their families and the community they hoped to serve?

Fifteen Keys is an action-adventure fantasy for middle grade and young teens.

Scream of the Silent Sun

Quinn Thomas' brother, Parker, has been missing for more than a decade when, as an empath, she's mysteriously drawn to a cache of his letters, hidden away in her parents' attic. His letters speak of her special power and his pride in who she is and what she can do.

It's confirmation that he's never forgotten her. But where is he? And why, given the empathic abilities that used to connect them, has she felt no spark from him after all these years?

Tucked inside one of Parker's letters is a vibrant drawing of the sun. Parker is a skilled artist and the sun is his adopted symbol. Quinn is shocked when the emblem inks itself onto her arm, creating a guide that seems to be trying to tell her where her brother may be.

That's validated when Quinn visits a local tattoo artist who tells her she is a conduit to her brother. The tattoo comes alive when Parker's presence is near, but his appearances are the stuff of mirage and hologram: He's real and not real.

With their mother's cancer diagnosis creating a very real deadline, Quinn is determined to bring her brother home, but the seething sun tattoo and his flickering image seem to warn her that he's in grave danger. Frustrated, Quinn finds help on her quest from Braden, Parker's best friend and lover from high school; Quinn's best friend, Candi, and one of Quinn's rehab clients, Toby.

Even with their help, will she find Parker in time to save him?
