It’s Sports, it's Arts, it’s Culture … it’s AWESOME.

Lehigh Valley’s annual summer community event at Cedar Beach Park starts tomorrow, Thursday, July 23, and runs through Sunday, July 26. It features arts, live entertainment, and major athletic tournaments like the A’Town Throwdown high school basketball showcase and adult field day.

Diane Sismour, Screenwriter and Producer for Doll Keeper Productions, LLC, will join authors Christopher D. Ochs and Dianna Sinovic from the Bethlehem Writers Group to sign their latest publications.

In May, 2006, what would become the Bethlehem Writers Group, LLC, met for the first time in Bethlehem, PA. In the twenty years since, the group has grown from a fledgling critique group to a robust community of writers and publishers, offering not just a quarterly online literary journal, Bethlehem Writers Roundtable, but also several award-winning anthologies, many other publications, and an annual writing contest.

To celebrate our twentieth anniversary, we now offer highlights from each of our eight "Sweet, Funny, and Strange®" anthologies of short stories from our varied, award-winning authors.

Initial blind judging will be done by members of the Bethlehem Writers Group, LLC. Final selection of winners will be done by best-selling speculative fiction author Susan Kaye Quinn. You can learn more about our judge at SusanKayeQuinn.com.

Finalists will be notified by June 15, 2026. Contest winners will be announced on the Bethlehem Writers Roundtable website and on the Bethlehem Writers Group website by July 1, 2026.

In addition to cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, winners will receive an offer of publication, either in our upcoming anthology, Illusive Worlds: Sweet, Funny, and Strange Tales of Science Fiction and Fantasy, or in Bethlehem Writers Roundtable Magazine.

Additional stories may be selected for Honorable Mention and offered publication in the Bethlehem Writers Roundtable Magazine.
