Whenever I read this verse, tears well up in my eyes.

This verse is about the change of the Qiblah in early Islamic history from Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem to the Ka’bah in Makkah.

Allah (swt) tells His chosen one: I see what you desire, and how you are looking for the answer. And rest assured, the answer is coming. The answer you seek that will make you pleased, is about to arrive.

Allah also sees your face and heart turning this way and that, looking up at the sky, unsure of when the response is coming.

He sees you searching for clarity, searching for the answer to your dua. And He is a Witness over all things.

Not only will He turn you toward the path you are meant to walk, you will also be well pleased with it.

And where you are taken by Him will be the place you’ve been searching for, for so very long.

It’s coming, it’s coming. Your direction is coming.

As salaamu alaykum ,

Did you know...

1. The foundation of the Islamic state was laid by the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) when he (ﷺ) and the Muhajireen migrated to Madeenah in the year 622 CE (1st year of Hijrah).

2. One year after the migration (2 AH), the Muslim army consisted only of 313 men.

3. In the next year (3 AH), the nascent state’s army only had two horses in addition to a small infantry!

4. Within 10 years, major part of the Arabian Peninsula became a part of the Muslim state.

5. In the next 10 years, the Persian Empire, entire Syria and Egypt was conquered by the Muslim state.

6. Within a century, Muslim rule had spread from the borders of China in the east to the Atlantic ocean in the west and on the other hand, from Indian ocean in the south to the Caspian and Black seas in the north.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “There are three supplications that will undoubtedly be answered: the supplication of one who has been wronged; the supplication of the traveler; and the supplication of a father for his child.” – Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 34, Hadith 36

2. Supplication Of A Muslim For His Brother In His Absence
Abud-Darda’ (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Every time he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this particular task says: ‘Ameen! May it is for you, too’.” – Sahih Muslim, Book 17, Hadith 31
3. Answered Duas
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “There are five supplications that are responded to; the supplication of a wronged one until he is made satisfied, the supplication of a hajji until he comes back home, the supplication of a warrior in the way of Allah until he comes back home, the supplication of a sick one until he recovers, and the supplication of a brother secretly for his brother; and the promptest of these supplications in being answered is the supplication of a brother secretly for his brother.” – Shu’ab al-Eeman, vol. 2 p. 46.

4. Supplication Of Sick Person
It was narrated that ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) said: The Prophet (PBUH) said to me: ‘When you enter upon one who is sick, tell him to pray for you, for his supplication is like the supplication of the angels.’ – Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Book 6, Hadith 1441

5. Dua Of A Person Who Is Fasting
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: There are three whose supplications are not turned back: A just ruler, and a fasting person until he breaks his fast. And, the supplication of one who has been wronged is raised by Allah up to the clouds on the Day of Resurrection, and the gates of heaven are opened for it, and Allah says, ‘By My Might, I will help you (against the wrongdoer) even if it is after a while.’ – Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Book 7, Hadith 1752
6. Dua Of An Oppressed Person
It is reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas (RA) that Mu’adh said: Beware of the supplication of the oppressed for there is no barrier between him and Allah. – Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith 29

You want to pray, but you just.. Can’t. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to be one of those people who pray.. It seems so easy for some. They just get up and do it. Perhaps you were one of those people at one time, but now.. Not so much. Something inside you is broken. Scratch that.. ...

How much do you love your things?⠀

Allah says in Surah Ale-Imran, ayah 92:⠀

"Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah ] from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."⠀

So what is said here is that you can never attain the sweetness of piety, good reward, the true spirit of righteousness or abundant goodness, until you spend from that which love. ⠀

And what is it that you love? Well it can be anything. Tangible or Intangible. For some it may be money, jewelry, cars or even food. For others it can be their time, skills, resources, hobbies or their comfort (don’t we all love our comfort?!)⠀

When a person loves something a lot, he wants to hold on to it, preserve it and keep it for himself.⠀

But when he gives that very item in the Way of Allah, it shows the strength of his Iman. And it is a proof of his love for Allah. The bigger the sacrifice, the greater the reward.⠀

Many times, the material things that we love and hold so dear to our hearts, can keep us busy. It can take up most of our time, energy and money. So where then, will we find the time to worship Allah, to serve His Deen, to engage in acts of righteousness, when all this stuff keeps us busy?⠀

Which is why, when you give away the things you love for the sake of Allah, then there are two benefits:⠀

1. It humbles you and teaches you self-control⠀
2. You have more space in your heart for loving Allah. ⠀
Remember our Iman cannot be complete until our love for Allah is more than anything or anyone. ⠀

So dig deep into your belongings today. Give away something that you love, for the sake of Allah.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of this world, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection; and he who finds relief for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him on the Day of Resurrection; he who covers up (the faults and sins) of a Muslim, Allah will cover up (his faults and sins) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is supportive of his brother; and he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah makes that path easy, leading to Jannah for him; the people who assemble in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah, learning it and teaching, there descends upon them the tranquillity, and mercy covers them, the angels flock around them, and Allah mentions them in the presence of those near Him; and he who lags behind in doing good deeds, his noble lineage will not make him go ahead."
