My family was subject to persecution by the media and corrupt government. This page was started shortly after I first met Julian's mother at a rally in Brisbane. I will never forget the big hug I gave her and I sensed at that moment a woman's longing for her son. Julian is one of the few journalists that have given us the actual truth.. Julian's only crime was trying to wake us up to the deception and tyranny that abounds and the exploitation of people throughout the world.

🎉Julian's father, John Shipton, and, Julian's Australian lawyer, Stephen Kenny, spent yesterday meeting with the dedicated MPs and Senators to thank them for tirelessly advocating for Julian Assange’s release.

They also witnessed the significant closing of the Bring Julian Assange Home Parliamentary Group. The group successfully achieved what they set out to do —securing Julian's freedom and his safe return to Australia as a free man!

A huge thank you 😍 goes out to every Australian MP and Senator who played a part in this monumental effort. Your commitment to Julian's human rights, a free press and our right to know has made a real difference. ✊
