Tarryn Mento is a freelance audio, video and digital journalist in Central New York. She previously led health coverage during COVID-19 at KPBS, San Diego’s NPR and PBS station. She has ventured deep within Guatemala's agricultural region, toured the Dominican Republic's border with Haiti and journeyed to mining towns across Arizona –– all for the sake of the story. She has a master's degree from

the Walter Cronkite School, was awarded the Pulliam Journalism Fellowship at The Arizona Republic and was selected as a Carnegie-Knight News21 fellow. She takes her coffee black, beer cold and her Red Bull sugar free.
