Tonight on Insomniac's Delight, punk rock & new wave pioneer Jim Skafish will be my guest. We'll discuss the expanded reissue of the second Skafish album "Conversation & The Rejects" which I.R.S. Records rejected the first version of for being too controversial. We'll also discuss other aspects of Jim's career & history. That's tonight on KOPN 89.5 FM from midnight-2AM & streaming live online via the KOPN website.

Chicago-area new wave & punk pioneer, founder of the band Skafish, Jim Skafish will be my guest during Insomniac's Delight on March 1! We'll be discussing the newly reissued & expanded second Skafish album "Conversation & The Rejects". The original version of "Conversation" submitted to I.R.S. Records was rejected by the label for being "too controversial". All of the rejected tracks have just recently seen the light of day after 40 years of gathering dust in a studio vault.

We'll also discuss the history of the Skafish band, their appearance in the classic punk & new wave concert film, "Urgh! A Music War", and much more!

Tune in to KOPN 89.5 FM from midnight-2AM next Thursday night & Friday morning for what will be one show to remember!

Two announcements: 1) KOPN 89.5 FM's Fall pledge drive begins today! Call 573-874-5676 to speak with a volunteer and become a member or to just pledge your money to support your community radio station. You can also donate securely online through the station's website. I'm truly grateful for this resource which has existed since 1973. I always look forward to my two hours each week to assault your senses and combat the boredom which litters FM radio. There are some exciting new schedule changes which begin next week which brings me to... 2) Beginning next week, Insomniac's Delight will move back an hour and air from midnight-2AM every Thursday night / Friday morning. If 1-3AM is too late to get your fix of everything I play, maybe midnight-2AM will be slightly less too late?
