Distortion NUIG's premier band competition, with the best live music Galway City has to offer. Its open to solo The Competition is open to all students of NUIG and GMIT.

Distortion is NUIG MusicSoc's brand new battle of the bands Competition featuring the very best of Galway's emerging music talent. Both solo acts and bands are accepted. The format is simple, each band gets 20 minutes to play, with a maximum of 2 cover songs. At the end of several heats, semi finals and one MASSIVE final a winner shall emerge.
