Killer news from our brothers Hexorcist! 666!!

Hexorcist is proud to announce Gene Palubicki as our new vocalist. Taking on the mantle of Mors Ululatus - Orator of the Poison Gospels of Madness, he will make his debut in our upcoming split with Morbid Messiah . Two tracks have been recorded and will be mixed in the following weeks.

Hi friends!

Hope you are doing fine these days! We have a great news to share with you all! A new releases is coming in February 2022. We are very happy to add the guys from APPARITION from Spain to our little family. We are going to release their Demo together with a bunch of other killer underground labels such as the mighty UNHOLY DOMAIN, HEADSPLIT RECORDS and DARK RECOLLECTIONS RECORDS.

A track was uploaded to our bandcamp page so please feel free to have a listen and to share it with friends. Hope you will like it!

Edu had the following to say: "We started APPARITION back in 2018 as a bunch of old friends aimed to play the Death Metal we always loved and worshipped. After a couple years of rehearsals we were ready to play our debut show but, you know, COVID happened. So we sat back and focused on recording these three songs to show the world what we had been doing in the shadows for the last few years. Expect nothing but a slab of pure Death Metal in the best tradition!"

And indeed I have not much to add to this words from Edu. As I first listened to the songs that words about "pure Death Metal in the best tradition" and "we aimed to play the Death Metal we always loved and worshipped" were the first that came into my mind. Knowing the guys from their work at ATARAXY among other bands I know that they know what to do. And you can be sure as well; if you love pure old-school Death Metal, this is for you.

Drums were recorded in July 2021 by Juan Miguel Sánchez at Producciones Sin/Con Pasiones and Javi Bastard at Moontower Studios.
Everything else was self-recorded and mixed by the band during the summer of 2021. Mastered by Javi Bastard at Moontower Studios.

The existence of Miasmal Sabbath, a trio with experience in genres like Hardcore, Punk and different styles of Metal, has one purpose and one purpose only; the creation of swampy, D-beating Death Metal.

Opener “Invocation of Death Essence”, which is an instrumental, gives the listener an idea what they meant with swampy, D-beating Death Metal as it is heavy, murky and sludging… But even 2 minutes in the second song “Celestial Prodigy” you as a listener would still be on the wrong path, because you’re 5 minutes in the album now…but all you have heard is slow and muddy, but then the D-Beat Death Metal kicks in!

The duration of the tracks are long (6:30 being the shortest one (intro not included) till 10:30) but thanks to the variation within the songs the stay away from boredom. With both attitude as well as musical approach variating from Dismember to Wolfpack as well as Autopsy to Discharge, “Ominous Radiance” is both rotten and crusty as well as slugging and dark slimy.

Something to check out if that sounds good to you. (Ricardo)

Ancient Metal of Death!!! Hexorcist from Miami, Florida, USA, just delivered some tasty evil reaping death metal which should please fans from the early hour of the genre. 9 original tracks and 1 Devastator cover show the muscle pumping iron these guys are lifting, in a furious chaotic manner like early Morbid Angel, Incubus, Sarcofago and the likes.

J***y Prayogi delivered a beautiful, morbid piece of art that also reminds me of Paolo Girardi’s work.

The songs vary when necessary, yet keep to be relentless fast forward with lots of tremolo picking frenzy riffing and hammering drums which don’t need to show off in terms of technicality and speed. They manage to be helpful to the song, more a guide than a leader, not producing cl*******ck sounds which become to boring while not making space for other instruments. Not the case here, thumbs up! The Devastator cover is well done and fits to the entire record.

The solos are Azaghtothian/Brunelle inspired, chaotic and ecstatic, exactly my thing. The vocals are reverb drenched but not totally. Some sort of ghastly figure which haunts you like a shadow, invisible, yet present and enchanting evil!(really cool)

The production is powerful enough to grab you by your balls and still not sounding too polished and sterile as syringes.

Minor? Maybe the missing choruses and variations of the classics? Maybe, not If you need the southamerican/Floridian fix. This is the record you will have to get in 2021! Does it slay? Sure it does!

Highlights: Denouncing the Immaculate, Unrighteous Ceremony, Praising the Most Foul

Evil Reaping Death, thunbs up! (DPF)
