FFS Livestream

The FFS Livestream is a sort of late breakfast show (somewhere between 10 and 12, before the Festival kicks off for the day) featuring an hour(ish) of uplifting content every Edinburgh Festival morning, full of information and help for performers. It’s a mix of live chat with invited guests in our chosen “studio” space, and VT out-and-about around Edinburgh. All streamed to your YouTube/Twitch/Thingummy (exact place TBD) Essentially it’s a survival guide offering tips from seasoned and less seasoned (maybe even some utterly unseasoned) pros on how to approach the most important (and expensive) month of your performing year. FESTIVAL TIPS: Accommodation. How to flyer. Where to flyer. How to handle reviews (ignore them). How to handle audiences (also ignore them). Share horror stories to reassure people things could be worse, and triumphs to reassure people things can get better! EDINBURGH TIPS: Tips on where to hang out, where to eat, where to drink, where to visit. We’ll be making video packages to highlight the more popular venues, as well as exposing some hidden gems. In addition, there will be interviews with local businesses to help performers find the best services - from where to eat to where to print flyers. BANTER: As in the traditional sense of the word (people coming together to swap witty stories and japes), rather than in the modern context (generally racism/misogyny). A cavalcade of guests, each more fabulous than the last.

Basically, think “Saturday Kitchen” or Andrew Marr, but entertaining.
