“Why don’t you put the rain fly on your tent?” Because it’s not raining…and I want to stare at the stars until I rack out... Duh 💁🏼‍♀️ Talk about a room with a view! 🏍️🏕️✨

Reasons I WILL use my rain fly: it’s cold and I need that extra wall for insulation, I need privacy in a busy campground or at an event, or …it’s raining lol

📍 Michigan is a fantastic state for stargazing! There’s plenty of areas with minimal light pollution and you might also luck out and get to see the northern lights!

“How are you liking that Eliminator?!” has been a popular question from y’all and I am so glad you’ve asked!

As many of y’all have noticed, I’ve been rocking the Bell Helmets Eliminator on my road trips this Summer. Here’s a summary of my overall thoughts:

💨 It ventilates VERY well, which was ideal for the scorching Summer heat. 🥵If you’re wondering about colder weather riding, I think anyone who normally rides in temperatures above 50°F will enjoy it. Just throw on a neck gaiter for those crispy commutes!

🤍 This is my first white helmet and yes, it makes a huge difference in temperature control + visibility for those with safety in mind!

🪖 Speaking of safety, this helmet is DOT and ECE Approved

🪶 It’s lightweight AF. Due to its simplistic design (no dropdown visors, closeable vents, etc) the Eliminator is incredibly lightweight. You can easily wear this helmet all day and not feel fatigued.

💆🏼‍♀️ Comfy for all-day wear. I’ve worn this helmet on 500+ mile road trip days many times now. Zero complaints. It is eyewear compatible for those wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses while riding.

🎶It does feature speaker pockets! I use my NOVUS Bluetooth comm nonstop to listen to music. I can hear it loud and clear at highway speeds!

After spending a few days exploring Southeast Montana, I’ve ridden roughly 400 miles to Western Montana’s Bitterroot Valley to spend a couple of days camping and riding one of the best motorcycle roads in the country: LOLO PASS!!

Following the path of the historic Lewis and Clark Expedition, Lolo Pass winds its way through the Bitterroot Mountains for 132 miles, connecting the towns of Lolo, Montana, and Kooskia, Idaho. This remote route offers endless sweeping curves and views of the surrounding mountains and nearby river, making it a bucket list ride on a motorcycle, and today, I’m going to finally cross it off MY bucket list!

Check out scenes from the trip in my latest YouTube video!

What’s your favorite motorcycle you’ve ever owned? This is my 2003 Sportster. I don’t post about it much these days (yes I still own it) but at one point in my life in a time not so long ago 😂 this was my primary touring bike and daily commuter for quite a few years.

I bought this bike from a friend in late 2013. It was originally a bone stock 883 Hugger and upon purchasing I had it stripped down and built into this rendition by my friend Bret at Top Dead Center in Austin, TX. It’s mostly stayed the same over the past 10 years. The only major changes have been going from 2 under suspension front and rear to 4+ tubes in the front and up to 12” in the rear. Oh, and juicing the motor up to a 1200, of course! 🤘🏍️💨

It hasn’t ran in about two years which is quite depressing to think about, but I’ve been focused on other things the past couple of years. 2025 will hopefully be the year I get to spend some time on this bike again.

You don’t “need” a big fancy touring bike. Sure, they make things much easier and are far more comfortable. But any bike can be ridden on long hauls if you want them to.

No matter how many other bikes I ride and own, this one will always be in my garage. Choppers will forever be my favorite. 🖤

Michigan is the most magical, Midwest hidden gem. 🖤🏍️💨🍂🍁 I just spent a week chasing peak fall foliage through the Upper and Lower Peninsulas and while one post won’t be enough to tell yall everything, it’s a good way to get the story started and summarize the trip.

The Upper Peninsula is filled with history, scenic byways, waterfalls, starry night skies, and of course…snacks (more pasties and tasty desserts plz)! It is such an easy going region of the country. The fast paced life and hustle and bustle we find all over the USA doesn’t exist here, and I love that. I spent about 5 days in the UP, and every day I would say to myself, “I wish I could spend a few more days here before I move on.” But I had a timeline and optimal weather window to stay on track with.

I moved on and spent two days in the Lower Peninsula, exploring the Tunnel of Trees and the incredibly scenic M-22, with a side trip to sleeping bear dunes and Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive.

🏍️💨 Admittedly, this wasn’t an easy trip to pull off on a motorcycle. I had to watch the weather carefully and carry the right gear (it never got above 65° the entire trip and some days the high was 45° 🥶) I lucked out and dodged most of the rain and high winds the region is known for. But I did it! And it’s a trip that will “leaf” a lasting impression on me for years to come!

More photos + stories to come. If you can ever experience Fall in Michigan, I would highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

📺 Two new YouTube videos from the trip will be up in late November/early December. Special thanks to for helping make this trip possible, in addition to , , , and 🤘

Riding across North Dakota via Interstate 94 is as fun as you make it. For the most part, it’s a 400-mile straight line. But there’s plenty of towns and quirky roadside attractions to stop at along the way to keep you entertained! You can watch my trek across the state in my latest YouTube video, or read below for some road trip tips:

Fargo: I stayed here for a night since they had a available! There are also all kinds of food options and the historic downtown area is pretty cool!

Jamestown: Home to the “world’s largest buffalo.” There’s also a Buffalo Museum here that has a white buffalo on display.

Bismarck: The Capital of ND! There’s a ton to see (and eat!) here. I had time to stop for lunch at the Blarney Stone Pub since many of you recommended it. Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park was also on my list, but I didn’t have enough time to check it out.

New Salem: Home to Salem Sue, the world’s largest Holstein Cow. You can see this massive statue from 5 miles away on the interstate.

Enchanted Highway: When you see the massive “Geese in Flight” Sculpture on the side of the highway, take the exit. For 32 Miles, you’ll find a collection of the world’s largest scrap metal sculptures.

Medora: This small town is the gateway to the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It’s the more popular part of the park since it’s the most easily accessible from the interstate. It’s a little touristy but you’ll find plenty of lodging and food. If you’re on a motorcycle, they only have 87 in town, so fill up before or after you visit, assuming you can make it another 20 miles.

I would definitely ride across North Dakota again! For a straight line on a map, there’s more to see, eat, and do here than you’d think! 😊🏍️💨

Tonight was my first time ever seeing the Aurora Borealis. At first, it was faint, and I thought I was crazy…no way that faint pink haze that I thought I saw was the lights. Just after I brushed my teeth to go to bed, I looked out the window one more time…And there they were on full display! There’s tons of light pollution where I am, so I can only imagine what it would have been like somewhere a little more remote, or further north where they really put on a show. 🖤✨ Can you see the northern lights from wherever you are tonight? What a treat!

Thinking of riding around Arkansas or Oklahoma this Fall? The Talimena Scenic Drive should definitely be on your destinations list! 🏍️🍂🍁

This 54-mile route feels like a roller coaster as you ride atop a mountain ridgeline. This is one of the best motorcycle roads in Arkansas and Oklahoma. I enjoyed it so much, that I rode it five times during my trips through the area in 2023.

Check out my full guide on the blog!

Here's everything you need to know about the Talimena Scenic Byway so that you can plan your next motorcycle trip a bit easier!

Welcome to MONTANA! I recently got to slow my roll and spend three days checking out Southeast Montana. Most of us have to travel through SEMT to get to places like Yellowstone and Glacier national parks, the Beartooth Highway and Lolo Pass.

This area is home to LOTS of history, like the historic Lewis and Clark Trail, the Yellowstone Auto Trail, as well as various Native American sites, battlefields, and preserved Western towns. There’s ALL KINDS of food if you choose to get off the beaten path of the interstate and explore the little towns, too!

Here were some highlights from the trip ⬇️

Stop One: Glendive
🌄 Watching a Sunset at Makoshika State Park
☕ Breakfast + Coffee at Bloom and Vine

Stop Two: Terry
🎁 Chatting with locals about hidden gems in the area, plus shopping for Made in Montana gifts at Prairie Unique
📸 Visiting the Evelyn Cameron Gallery
🦪 Trying Rocky Mountain Oysters at Roy Rogers Bar Grill & Casino

Stop Three: Miles City
🍔 Tilt Wurks Brewhouse & Casino has AMAZING burgers and brews!
📍 Historic Main Street: The Montana Bar, one of the best preserved saloons in all of Montana, is here, plus lots of cool neon signs!
🥞 Breakfast at the 600 Cafe

Stop Four: Billings
🪖 Visiting Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument
🪶 Seeing 2,000-year-old Petroglyphs at Pictograph Cave State Park
☀️ Catching Sunrise atop “the Rims”
🍽️ Dinner at the Marble Table
☕Coffee at Black Dog Coffeehouse

The best brisket I’ve had all year 🏆📍 Wright's Barbecue has a few different locations throughout Arkansas, but I decided to visit the original location in Johnson this past week. Absolutely incredible flavor, and perfectly tender! 🤤

This place has been on my bucket list for quite a few years now and it did NOT disappoint! They were recently featured in Texas Monthly’s new “Best BBQ joints outside of Texas” article…so if you don’t wanna take my word for it, I think that article should speak for itself on how awesome this place is.

My order:
Moist Brisket
Bacon burnt ends
Collard greens
Mac
Banana Pudding

I might be planning a trip back to NWA at the end of fall to ride motorcycles, mountain bikes, and eat some more BBQ at Wrights. 🔥
