The Gould Standard Started by the Dean's initiative, The Gould Standard is NYU Stern's professional student-run newspaper. perpetuate a professional, well respected publication.

Our core purpose is to enhance community at NYU Stern by striving to deliver high quality news, features, entertainment, and commentary pertaining to aspects of Stern while maintaining the utmost journalistic integrity. Our committee is engaged in fulfilling this purpose by producing a final product that embodies the Stern pillars of exploring, collaborating, and engaging. This is the basis for ma

intaining and enhancing the reputation of Stern while fulfilling readers’ expectations. We aim to cover aspects of the community at Stern impartially, with integrity, and with respect to our sources, readers and the community at large—i.e. The reputation of The Gould Standard hinges on this perception, as do the reputations of our members. In line with our core purpose, members of The Gould Standard strive to maintain the highest standard of ethics—academically, journalistically, and personally (or at least such that any questionable personal issues do not affect the professional image of Stern). Committee members strive to exercise mature professional judgment, consider their individual stakeholders, and their responsibility to the name of Stern and its affiliations.
