Hello! We are announcing that we are taking a bit of an extended break. Both of us have been quite busy lately (ugh responsibilities) and are tired. We have been working on this awesome project for a few years now but felt we were losing some steam. This break is meant to rejuvenate us! We love talking about monsters and would like to continue in the future.
Thank you to everyone who has listened to us! We seriously appreciate every single listener and supporter of this podcast! We still cannot believe people were interested in what we had to say. And especially to all our Patreon supporters you have all been so amazing!
We will keep you posted on our social media channels and Brenda will continue to post on those once in a while.
Hasta luego Monstras!

We are coming to you with another episode from our Monstras After Dark series! This one is all about the best topic ever (according to Brenda) aliens! In 1996 the future of the townspeople of Varginha, Brazil changed when a group of young girls claimed to have witnessed a very stinky alien!
Very good timing as Brenda was told growing up that aliens visit children on Christmas. Feliz Navidad aliens and humans!

La luz mala is a legend from rural parts of Uruguay & Argentina about mysterious glows that appear atop of hills. The light is said to be the souls of the dead or a demon, but it could also be a naturally occuring chemical reaction resulting from the gas that corpses in cemeteries exude.

La Bailarina sin Cabeza or the Headless Ballerina legend comes from Agua Caliente, Tijuana:
She is beheaded by her bf in a fit of rage after she tries to abscond with some jewelry she stole from the casino she worked at. Legends say that she performed one last time that night before vanishing forever.
We covered this fascinating legend and the story of Agua Caliente (the inspiration for Las Vegas) in episode 7 of our podcast! A throwback for sure.
