We all know greenwashing, but this month, let’s talk about pinkwashing. 💕 When brands use the pink ribbon just to boost sales during Breast Cancer Awareness Month—without actually supporting the cause or worse, selling harmful products.
The most frustrating part of pinkwashing, greenwashing, etc. is that it uses marketing to exploit our desire to do something positive in the world. People want to help these causes but end up getting taken advantage of!
Do your homework, support small brands and always give marketing like this a second look. 🫶

No shade to the fancy film editors 🫢, but being able to tell a story through text or spoken word is the game changer.
Yes, video or photos are important to keep people’s attention, but what will move someone to follow, comment or make a purchase is how your copy made them feel.

💻 Website clicks: Getting people to click through to your website is one of the most difficult CTAs (calls to action) to accomplish. Instagram designs their app so you’ll stay in their app. If you’ve got higher clicks than normal, your content is working!
