Ramblin's from Vintage Lady
.. She watched his face as he lifted his hand and touched a name on the Vietnam Memorial. His fingers moved slowly over each letter of this name.
He said "Hi Dad, time for breakfast". Her eyes swelled with tears, she squeezed his hand and leaned her head on his shoulder. No other words were said for a few moments. Then, he looked at her and said he has breakfast with his Dad the second Monday of each month. She started to speak but no words came, but it was OK, he already felt her words and put his arm around her shoulder and they sat down on the bench for breakfast...

Ramblin's from a Vintage Lady

I was on a flight from Atlanta to West Palm Beach. The scheduled departure time was 7:55, however the plane was late arriving at the gate and it was overbooked, so actual departure was somewhere around 8:30 but still daylight. The weather in Atlanta was perfect for flying. Soon after the assent I looked out to nothing but gray. The captain announced that the trip would be a bit turbulent. I sank down in my seat and began to read a magazine. Soon we were sandwiched between the gray clouds below and darker clouds above. The turbulence came, bouncing this huge plane in a way that didn't seem all that bad, yet it reminding me of the force of nature that surrounds us. I spent a moment remembering another flight just last month on a two engine commuter plane. There were no clouds in the sky on that trip, yet the air was turbulent and it was if the plane was playing on a trampoline for the entire 40 minute flight. Another turbulent came and jolted me back to the present, I looked out the window, we were back in the grayness. Snacks and drinks were passed out and I could hear the quiet chatter of the travelers. I looked around, wondering what life event brought them to this flight. The plane began it's descent from what was now the night sky and the thousands of tiny lights of West Palm Beach replaced the grayness of the clouds. Sometimes life is like this flight, it's as if we're cloaked in a gray cloud and the light will never shine again. But the Son will replace those gray clouds and carry us through our storm, just as the pilot carried us in the plane through the storm.

What you see in this video are treasures, a song book from the mid 1800's, paper houses from the 1940's, vintage animals and farmers, and a vintage forrest oil painting in the background. There is an old wooden chair
all painted in red. It sat all alone in a local shop. Shoppers passed by barely giving a glance. If only they knew this old wooden chair all painted in red was truly a treasure. I saw it and thought it was beautiful so I brought it home and put it on my porch. Days, weeks, and years passed. Then, magically, nature grew a tiny village of tiny bright colored "houses". If you look very close inside your mind on a moonlit night you can see fairies and smurfs and gnomes romping and playing in their little village.

When you are at a local shop you can find treasures, and just maybe a magical old chair all painted in red.
