"With humility, we accept the reality that ASEAN will not be able to push in Congress the Mission: "Isang Propesyonal Sa Bawat Pamilya" and other laws beneficial to the Students, Out-of-School Youth, Educators, Parents, OFWs and Professionals.

ASEAN's campaign was anchored on volunteerism. We're forever grateful for gaining your friendships and for your efforts expended without recompense. We sincerely thought that the ideas shared were quite novel and was enough to gain us 225k votes.

As Chairman/1st Nominee, I accept full responsibility for the debacle. Perhaps, I'm better confined elsewhere. We, the Nominees, did our best and risked what we have to be your Advocate. We're not Politicians. We're Academicians/Educators who just wanted to make a difference in your lives. We would have made you very proud of your trust in ASEAN. Thanks for 2016 & 2019! God Bless our Country."

To the believers, the results in your area may shock you given the support you extended to ASEAN. The link below will help you trace the votes ASEAN garnered in your city/provincial/municipality. https://halalanresults.abs-cbn.com/local

Prof. , CPA Board Topnotcher (2nd Placer)-Author, na mapababa ang Remittance Costs ng mga OFWs!

's Proposal - "The OFW Cheaper Remittance Act"
Once in Congress, will initiate a "review of the remittance costs with the intent of helping our save on their hard-earned money." Imagine, OFW remittances for 2018 was US$32.2 Billion! Any decrease in remittance costs when aggregated will be surely significant.

According to BSP data, the bulk or "79% of cash remittances last year came from the US, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Japan, the United Kingdom, Qatar, Canada, Germany, and Hong Kong."

's Proposed Laws -
Act:
"We, the Educators from , will push for this law. We know how education changes lives. We need to identify "the poorest of the poor families" and for each family, "one or two children" will be nominated and given priority to enrol in a SUC or LUC. The student will be shepherded thru college to ensure graduation. No high grade requirements, "character" is more important and the "sheer will and conviction to finish" so he can be of help to his family asap. We, Filipinos, love our family. This law will help eradicate poverty "one family at a time." Access to Quality Education. Sadyang, ."

"Enhanced Public Libraries Act":
"Review implementation of RA 7743 which was enacted into law in 1994. Ensure that LGUs have libraries attuned to the needs of the times by upgrading facilities and content. We, the Educators from , certainly will prioritize this. Let's make the public libraries conducive places of learning. If warranted, 24/7 operations maybe considered in cities and 1st class municipalities. Sadyang, ."

On Bullying in Schools

Bullying in schools affects the delivery of quality education because it makes the atmosphere not conducive to learning. That is why it is imperative that the policies set forth in the governing law is R.A. 10627 or the "Anti-Bullying Act of 2013" and its IRR are implemented. This law covered learning centers, elementary and secondary schools only.

The law enabled the students to anonymously report bullying or retaliation to school authorities. The law also mandated the establishment of the Child Protection Committee which shall serve as the body which will handle all bullying cases in the School.

The question(s) worth asking: Is bullying still prevalent in some schools even with RA 10627? Are the schools doing enough to combat this menace? Are the reporting requirements being complied with? Is the DepEd sanctioning non-compliance? Does the law needs revisiting by July 2019? can be of help. wishes to hear from you.

, 1st Nominee of :
Let's consider and other similar types of vehicles to serve the needs of the commuting public while the government addresses the infrastructure and traffic issues. There is a legal impediment because of a lag in law. is willing to file the necessary amendatory bill in Congress.

Motorcycles are either private vehicles (used by the owners themselves, not for hire) or gov't vehicles by definition, per Republic Act 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code (enacted June 20, 1964). transports passengers for a fee (for hire). Here lies the disconnect in law and in the actual use. The DOTR Order, which recognized TNVS (2015-011), did not include motorcycles.

It is better to pass the needed legislation so the LTFRB can introduce standards and regulate them. Everybody WINS.
