Let us be your guide. www.ashevillemusicguide.com I was perplexed. It was this feeling that was the catalyst for Asheville Music Guide. What does this really mean?

How did I almost miss my favorite band who never leaves Austin, Texas, and was playing 50 yards from my house? I’m sure many music fans have felt the same way after realizing that they missed their favorite bands, and fortunately, Patrick Conant and Jesse Michel of PRC Applications, an Asheville web development company, agreed. We knew we wanted to create more than just a music listing service, so

we started with a unique data collection technology called scraping. Putting in hundreds of extra hours in coding time, this allowed us to aggregate information directly from venues’ websites and provide the most accurate and up to date data. You don’t have to go to every venue website to find out what’s happening. We also recognized that the venue space plays a part into the total concert experience. Do they provide food? Is membership required? Is it cash only? Giving deeper information about the venues creates more of a true ‘guide’ to Asheville’s music scene rather than just who’s playing. We also believe that the website should not only provide thorough and relevant concert and venue information, but it should also ensure you don’t forget about that concert you want to see. That is why we created a build your own calendar feature including email reminders. We also offer services such as a bi-monthly email update with curated shows you won’t want to miss and one page solely dedicated to recent show announcements.
