Sorry, but the Olympic closing ceremony seemed a tad Dystopian to me. At first it was like an old Dr. Who episode, and then later Ninja's dropped down on stage, but then the ghost of Elton John did a Rocket Man Piano launch. In the end, I was happy that Charlton Heston didn't show up, and my wacki-Utopian brain suspects that the old Logan's Run movie is getting Royalties.

Making a Film Parody? This may be food for thought: Below is a description of Fair Use and Parody. Note that it suggests that Parody ridicules the original work. I've heard that "Ridiculing" someone is a basis for many a lawsuit - frivolous or not. So filmmaker's, if you end up in court, paying for lawyer, etc...was it worth making a Parody?

Reading a creature-feature script about a loveable mutant alien who loves film. (Oh wait, that's me.) Anyway, this is Luc Robert Poirier and me hanging at the Film Mixer last night. It was a total blast-o-fun as usual. This event was brought to our community by Josh Mackey, Katie Cross , Ted E Dee, Luke Castle and not seen last night -- but a great filmbuddy, Caitlin Reid plus the event ambassador and administrator of SQUISHY'S Amanda Simmons Rybarz !!

Jason Momoa plays the Spider character. A must see performance - very funny. The rest of the movie was very entertaining although rude at times -- (but of course, but what movie isn't nowadays!) Anyway, check out this movie on Roku.

FILM MIXER, 7pm. at Eastern Palace Club (TIKI BAR!)

It Looks like an easy drive if you're coming from 696 or 75. I think there's a 1-75 exit at 9mile and John R (use your google map thang.)

If you're coming from 8 mile it's easy to go directly to John R.

If you're coming from East side via 696, then you take the Dequindre/John R exit.
Easy, but remember when you're returning you may wish to take John R to 9 or 10 mile and drop down to Dequindre to catch 696 back home. Okay then, hope this helps, post a comment if you have better ideas.

Tales from The Neutral Zone will be filming two (2) 15-minute Star Trek fan films. The films will be a prequel and sequel to the ST:TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise."

We are in need to recast the lead role of Lt. Richard Castillo.

It's important to note that these films will be shot in 2 different locations: (1) at Neutral Zone Studios in Kingsland GA; and (2) a studio in North Carolina. The film dates are:
April 27-28 @ Kingsland
May 25-26 @ North Carolina
If you're interested in joining the cast, you would have to be available for both locations. Castillo is a prominent character in both films.

This project is produced by SkyRocket Pictures, you may be familiar with them if you've watched stuff by Atomic (with Tim Russ and other Voyager personel.) Mr. Know It All here, with some filmmaking advice. Do you see a theme in the Pics here? This is some of the talent I have booked in my films. They were not friends at the time, they were Talent. Moral: I know it's fun and easy to use your friends in your films. But the end result is a project that (might) not look professional. Whenever possible, USE REAL ACTORS/ACTRESS's!
