ENAV DV ENAV.DV - Underground electronic music and visual ephemera. Label owner: Derek Jordan. Contact/Demos

ENAV.DV (EthereaNet AuralVisual & Digital Video) began life in 2006 by Derek Jordan. Derek has long been a member of the electronic music community, dating back to 1991, when he first began listening to early techno tracks (Beltram, U.R., Orbital, etc.), going to raves in 1992-1993, then writing IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) music reviews for internet mailing lists in 1994-95, such as the highly i

nfluential Hyperreal.org, during the infancy of the internet and World Wide Web (his IDM/Ambient/Techno reviews are still available for viewing in ‘digest’ form). During this time, Derek started DJ'ng, performing 'fill in' slots at various raves/underground parties in the Denver area, and mailing out mixtapes around the world. In 1997, he tried his hand at producing, but dedicated himself full-time in 2006. In 2007, he launched his brand of electronic music via MySpace, and it bloomed from there...

Aug 31st, 2017 will see Derek finally release his 1st "serious" debut album, "Emanations", preceded by an EP, "Emanate" (out now on Bandcamp), which he hopes will catapult his underground career from the Earth to the outer reaches of the electronic music solar system. Derek describes his music style as "Atmospheric IDM/Soundscapes' with firm roots & influences from Detroit, Chicago, the U.K., and Germany, as well as the soundtracks & concept albums from the late 1970's/early 1980's."

Happy New Year, fans! If you're feeling the way I am, it doesn't seem too "happy". I won't run down what you already know, but I WILL provide you some info on what 'will be':

ENAV DV is now entering year 17. I haven't "folded", nor have I gone any further in debt than I already was. 😆For me, and the label, its simply another year to transmit tones, that can bring about change; whether its through helping to get some mental rest, solving boredom, or just something 'new' in general.

2022 was the "quietest" year, creatively speaking, i've ever experienced. I'm grateful for that, to be honest. I needed time to heal: mentally, physically, and emotionally. I was able to finally release "The Podcast Session" in April, so it wasn't too bad of a year.

2023 will not be any different. I only have one release scheduled for this year as well. More about that later....

I'm a firm believer of positive energy; if I'm giving off endless positive energy, but not getting very much in return, I do pull back, conserve, and re-direct that energy to other things. I believe strongly in the label, my creativity, and stand by all my releases. Its just taking awhile to see "true returns", so that's where all of my other positive energy is now being focused. 🥸🤏

"Someone" out there was listening in 2022, though! Here are the annual "Tops" list for last year on ENAV DV:

Top Countries listening to ENAV DV:

1. United States
2. Spain
3. Finland
4. India
5. Germany
..and finally, 'Da Money':

-$0.00 🥳🥳 ..after all operational costs, salaries, royalties, and greedy streaming app fees.

Yet, I remain positive...even if my bank account isn't.

Now, on to 2023:

I've promised a "label compilation" since 2007, and if all goes well between now and November 2023, I will fulfill that promise. The compilation will showcase the "best" of the label since its inception, with a brand new track, and a few classic track "re-works" included.

The artwork will be my most "darkest" to date, and will be very familiar to any of my fans who have followed IDM since the (Artificial Intelligence) days...

No more clues; its time to get producing. ...and promotin'.
..and "(Happy?) New Year" everyone! 😌

15 years ago...almost 16...I finally decided to pursue a hobby that I only thought was possible "on paper"; producing my own electronic music; and then having the courage to post it, for the world to hear & see.

I didn't realize this hobby would end up becoming a "life saver"; the one thing in my life that was loyal, pure & genuine. The one activity in my house that would help me forget all my troubles.
.all I had to do was "flip the switch on", and just be myself.

Four "pro" albums, a collection of visuals, esoteric artwork, a unique collaboration, and a global presence on all the popular streaming platforms...
..more entertaining than collecting stamps...or NFT's! ...and just as expensive.

"The Podcast Session:Derek Jordan" is now available.

The full story; captured for all to listen.

Enjoy.

The label has now reached 200 streams. Another milestone. 🥰😘💪🤷

I'm not sure what to make of "YouTube Music" now becoming the top streaming platform for ENAV.DV, but I'll take it!
