According to South Carolina DEHEC, the numbers for Covid infection remain high for Calhoun, Orangeburg and Clarendon County. High is considered more than 200 cases per 100,000 population.
While high, Calhoun County, reported a rate equal to 378 cases per 100,000 population, during the most recent period of February 3 - February 16. That number is better than much of the sate.
During the same period, Orangeburg County, declared 730 cases equal to 100,000 population.
Clarendon County, reported 1,031 cases equal to 100,000 population.
Some context, though. Every county in the state falls into the high incidence category. And, on the whole, recovery rate statewide is 97%.
