Wild Sound Recordings Wild Sound is a record label specialising in acoustic, folk, roots and singer-songwriter music from the UK.

Wild Sound is a record label which nurtures acoustic folk roots artists and licenses their songs and instrumental library music. Wild Sound was founded in 2012 by Polly Paulusma as a vehicle for releasing her own acoustic recordings after leaving One Little Indian in 2008. Since then it has grown to incorporate the works of other artists in a spirit of collaboration and collective endeavour. Its m

ain aim is to disseminate songs and instrumental music to the listening public via digital distribution and via licensing to the world of TV and film, advertising and gaming syncs.

“Wild sound”, sometimes also called “wild track”, is the recording a sound engineer makes of air moving in an environment to be used in a mix. It is intended to capture the unique sound a place makes just by being.

Song clinic! Do you have a song you’re working on that you’d like to polish, hone and get to its best state?

I offer a Song Clinic - either in person or online, half day (£250) or full day (£500). If I see you in person you can also record a version of your song in my shed.

Song Clinic is a 1-2-1 session dedicated to you and your songwriting. We can talk about songcraft, about lyrical intention and ex*****on, melodies and rhythms, and the mysterious beautiful ways in which words, tunes and chords interact. I won’t co-write with you. This is about you and your song and working to make it the best it can be.

I write songs and I also teach songwriting at ICMP London and at Cambridge University’s ICE. I love helping people see the potential in themselves and their songs.
