Another Saturday and another Fresh Roots New Blues on WNRN but this week is different. We're doing a 2 hour tribute to the father of British Blues, the one and only John Mayall who we lost on July 22 at the age of 90.

We'll highlight his long career as best we can in a 2 hour time slot and add a little info along the way. As always the focus is on his music but with the legacy that John left behind, we've got to pay tribute to the man. There will never be another John Mayall.

He in many ways was a hidden pioneer that led to surviving an art form … known as “The BLUES”!!!
