Where are you From? De Onde e? De donde eres? Di dove sei?

Today I am going on a very interesting ride down what was a little spur line called the “Lexington Branch Railroad” in 1871 but later expanded all the way to Hinsdale NH. The ride particularly tells this story of where you are from because it starts in Bedford a few miles beyond the original spur line and heads through Arlington, Somerville and Cambridge which is where I am going and from at the same time. Will be posting some pictures of the Minuteman Bike Path, along the way, where you’re from shortly. Interesting that this Lexington Branch line was just getting going when a lot of the other branch lines were falling apart.

Rode the Lexington Branch, Minuteman Bike Path yesterday! Took a few pictures and will post and will be riding soon, if you want to join, will be adding to the Minuteman story as there was a lot to see and digest. Buttricks is now condos called Brigham Place (I would have called it Buttricks Place but they probably didn’t know the back story). A little further down where we started up the engines of refrigerated freight trains as bored teenagers, condos... kind of a theme. Just getting warmed up.
