Wall Street Journal - Israel Weighs Plan to Flood Gaza Tunnels With Seawater:

Israel has assembled a system of large pumps it may use to flood Hamas’s vast network of tunnels under the Gaza Strip with seawater, a tactic that could destroy the tunnels and drive the fighters from their underground refuge but also threaten Gaza’s water supply, U.S. officials said.

The Israel Defense Forces finished assembling large seawater pumps roughly one mile north of the Al-Shati refugee camp around the middle of last month. Each of at least five pumps can draw water from the Mediterranean Sea and move thousands of cubic meters of water per hour into the tunnels, flooding them within weeks.

💔 The eulogy Sarit Zussman read in memory of her son Ben, during his funeral on Monday, moved millions of Israelis. Her son, Sgt. First Class (res.) Ben Zussman was killed by Hamas in Gaza while heroically defending his country and trying to rescue hostages.

“We will prevail,” she said at Mt. Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem. “We don’t have any other option. We are a people that values life. Not like our vile and wretched enemy, cowards, N***s and their allies who sanctify death.”

 “We will live. We will prosper and we will build. And our leaders must be worthy of us, of the Israeli spirit that pulsates within each and every one of us, of the Israeli spirit that pulsates within our amazing soldiers,” she said emotional, but with strength and faith.

“If our soldiers succeeded in putting themselves aside and putting the nation in the center, it is only fitting that our leaders do the same. Leaders who don’t understand this, leaders who walk around with a sense of arrogance, should step aside and make way for those who do know what to do. Because we must prevail.”

She added: “Are you listening people? Do you hear me world? Do you hear me you vile enemies who lust for death and evil?! Am Yisrael Chai! [The Nation of Israel Lives], forever and ever and ever. Standing tall and with our heads held high. Now more than ever.Let’s strengthen ourselves. Let’s believe. Let’s demand good. Let’s insist on the good and we will prevail.”

💔 OCT 7. HERO: A funeral was held today for Col. Asaf Hamami, commander of the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade. He was killed fighting Hamas on Oct 7, but his death was only recently declared by the chief rabbi as his remains are being held by Hamas in Gaza.

Asaf was on base with his 6-year-old son, Alon, on Oct 7. At 6:29 a.m., when he heard of the first breach of the fence, he kissed the boy’s head, handed him over to one of the female officers of the brigade and was the first to leave the base, with two other soldiers.

Asaf quickly grasped the magnitude of the event and announced on the comms to the Gaza Division the message that echoed everywhere: “This is commander, declaring war.”

Senator John Fetterman slammed demonstrators who swarmed around an Israeli-owned restaurant in protest over the conflict in the Middle East, branding the incident “pathetic and rank antisemitism.”

Fetterman was referring to the outrage sparked by the targeting of Goldie falafel restaurant in Philadelphia on Sunday evening as Pro-Hamas protesters shouted: “Goldie, Goldie you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide.” The protesters also vandalized the doors to the restaurant.

💔 💍 Avshalom Peretz HY”D, 27, and Shiraz Brodash HY”D, 23, a young couple seen here in the happiest place on Earth ; one month before October 7th. 💔 HERO OF OCTOBER 7TH: This selfie was taken minutes before Ofek Arazi HY”D, 28, was murdered by Hamas terrorists on the morning of October 7 as he set out to defend Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak.

On that morning, Ofek, who was in the Kibbutz volunteer security team, was called to check out a disturbance at the gate for possible intruders Little did he know that he was about to face off with dozens of bloodthirsty terrorists.

According to a kibbutz statement: “When [Arazi] got the call, he smiled his huge smile, put on a helmet and headed for the gate… They fought just a few of them against dozens of gunmen and waited for the army to arrive and help. But that didn’t happen. They fought until the end to protect the home they loved so much. Ofek, a big guy with a huge heart, a captivating smile and endless sensitivity.”

His brother-in-law, Daniel Matari, wrote on Facebook, “You left us young but you left us as a hero who fought for his home! You protected all of us and I’m not even able to thank you. I miss you my love, you will be missed at our Shabbat table… I’ll miss arguing with you about religion, and your laughter”.

Ofek’s sister, Mai Arazi, wrote: “I can barely find the words to describe my broken heart…You went out to protect us, your wide heart took the initiative, you had no idea what you were getting into:…You left us with a big smile that said ‘Be calm, I’m protecting you.’ We love you so much and miss you so much it hurts. We are praying that one day we will wake up and find that this was all a nightmare. You will always remain our younger brother, forever young.”

Ofek was retroactively recognized as a fallen soldier with the rank of sergeant first class, since he was a member of the Kibbutz security team. He was laid to rest on October 22.

🙌🏽 ELIMINATED: The IDF says it has killed the commander of Hamas’s Shati Battalion, Haitham Khuwajari, in a precision airstrike.

Under his command, Hamas terrorists carried out raids into Israeli territory on October 7th during the invasion and massacre in southern Israel.

Khuwajari also secured Hamas terrorist activity in the Shifa Hospital and was in command of Hamas’ forces fighting against IDF soldiers in the Shati area of Gaza.

🕯️ BDE: The IDF confirmed the death of six Israeli citizens who were abducted by Hamas on October 7:

AREYE ZALMANOVICH, 86: Zalmanovich, the oldest Israeli taken hostage by Hamas, was one of the founding members of Kibbutz Nir Oz.

MAYA GOREN, 56: Goren was the kindergarten teacher in Kibbutz Nir Oz. On October 7, Hamas terrorists murdered her husband Avner and also killed their dog, Scar, in their home. Goren, who was working in the children’s home at the time, was abducted by Hamas. The couple left behind four children, who expressed how much she longed for her grandchildren.

RONEN ENGEL, 54: Engel was taken hostage from Kibbutz Nir Oz along with his partner Karina and their daughters Mika and Yuval, who were recently released from Hamas captivity. Another son, Tom, who is a soldier, was not abducted. The family’s home was demolished during the massacre. Engel moved to the kibbutz twelve years ago and recently completed a degree in water engineering.

ELIYAHU MARGALIT, 75: Margalit, a Nir Oz resident, was the father of Nili, a child psychologist who was also taken hostage by Hamas and released this week. Margalit lived in the Kibbutz since 1969, dedicating all his years there to raising cattle for meat.

OFRA KEIDAR, 70: Keidar, from Kibbutz Be’eri, a mother of three children and grandmother, went for her regular morning walk on October 7 and never returned home. In a phone call with her family, she managed to tell them that terrorists were shooting at her, and she was heard asking them, “Why are you shooting at me? What did I do?” Her husband, Sami, who suffered from Parkinson’s disease, was murdered in their living room. Their daughter, Yael, who has mild intellectual disabilities, survived by locking herself in the shelter.

GUY ILUZ, 26: Iluz , from Tel Aviv, son of Michel and Doris, had been at the outdoor rave at Re’im with friends. When the sirens began, they tried to escape in a car, but were shot at by terrorists. In a call with emergency services, he said he had been shot and was hiding, managing to speak to his parents momentarily, telling them he loved them.

💔 HEARTBREAKING - Another Hostage Killed: Kibbutz Be’eri says that one of its residents who was taken hostage in Gaza died while in captivity.

In a statement, the kibbutz said Ofra Keidar, 70, had died without detailing when or how.

“Her body is in the hands of Hamas. We demand her return along with the other hostages,” the statement added.

Keidar went for a walk early in the morning of October 7, and hadn’t been heard from since.

Her husband, Sami Keidar, was killed in the family’s safe room, and their daughter, Yael Keidar, who has a mild intellectual disability, hid in the safe room and emerged hours later, waiting until it was quiet outside. - ToI

BREAKING: French-born terrorist identified as Armand Rajabpour-Miyandoab has killed one and wounded others in a stabbing attack near the Eiffel Tower tonight.

Armand, allegedly of Iranian descent, shouted “Allahu Ahkbar” during the attack. He was jailed in 2018 for attempting to plan a terror attack in France.

This evening he also recorded a video of himself pledging allegiance to ISIS just minutes before the terror attack and said he: “can’t stand watching Arabs being killed”.

🐶 This is the amazing story of Bella, the pup that was “smuggled” into Gaza.

The 17-year-old teen had been kidnapped by Hamas terrorists during its attack on Oct. 7, when she and her mother, Gabriela, were visiting Mia’s aunt’s house in Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak for Simchat Torah celebrations.

When Hamas broke in, Mia wrapped Bella in a blanket and held her close to her chest. Hours later, the terrorists realized it was a dog and not a doll, and an argument started, but Mia would not back down and they let her stay. For 53 day, they captives split their small food rations with Bella.

On her way back to Israel, Hamas once again tried to take Bella, and once again Mia was not having it.

Meanwhile, in Israel, Mia’s father Moshe, who was looking for the dog all this time, urged the community to help him find Bella so he could give Mia her beloved pet when she finally returned home, but eventually he gave up hope of finding the dog. Her father was shocked when Mia was released and photos and video emerged of Mia gripping her beloved Shih Tzu.
