Just this past weekend, I attended the Black Bear Film Festival in Milford, PA for my second time. Last year, I screened my previous film but this year I got to speak about my upcoming comedy short film 🎬
Even better, I was presented with the YOUNG FILMMAKER AWARD for my work on CALL NOW as well as to shine a light on my persistent passion for filmmaking. It was an absolute honor to receive this incredible award!
It is always a delight to visit Milford and its art festivities, and Black Bear is definitely one of the town's highlights. Thank you to the incredible staff, judges, and other terrific filmmakers! I hope to be back next year!

Today at the The Brightside Tavern Shorts Fest Film Series we received TWO awards: BEST DIRECTOR and BEST EDITING in the college category!! 🥳🥳
A big thank you to my producer Joe Milici for attending this festival with me! It was another great opportunity to watch my film on the big screen, meet some terrific filmmakers, and share some great laughs.
And a special thank you to the team of Brightside for putting together such an enjoyable fest!
P.S. On top of the two awards, we were also nominated for four other awards in the college category: Best Short Film, Best Original Concept, Best Comedy, and Best Actor. Yippee!!

Last Saturday (July 23rd), I took a trip to New Hope, PA, to watch my upcoming comedy short film "CALL NOW" at the New Hope Film Festival with another outstanding audience!! 🤩🥳
My team and I had an enjoyable time visiting the town, and we were thrilled to speak about CALL NOW with such a tremendous audience and other great filmmakers in attendance.

Just last weekend, I attended the Nassau Film Festival in Princeton, NJ, at which my upcoming comedy film CALL NOW was selected and presented with the PRINCETON TIGER AWARD: a judges award given for excellence in filmmaking to films whose message, acting, photography, or overall filmmaking was judged to be deserving of such recognition.
Thank you to the judges, the fantastic Nassau audience, and the amazing filmmakers who attended for making this such a great festival experience! It is always fun to watch my projects on the "big screen," and so I was incredibly excited to do so at this festival in such a historic and beautiful town.

This Saturday (4/23), my upcoming comedy short film "CALL NOW" will be screening at the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival during the 11am-1pm Student Film block!
As of last weekend, the post-production process is finished on CALL NOW, Cody Hawley's upcoming comedy short film!
A final cut was established, and the producers have begun submitting to film festivals. Fingers crossed that we receive some selections soon!
Nonetheless, an OFFICIAL TRAILER for "Call Now" will be coming out soon, with an online release of the full 11-minute short film scheduled for this Spring on https://www.youtube.com/c/TheCodyNetwork

It was amazing to see my mockumentary comedy film THE YOUTUBER PROJECT being screened in front of an audience. It was also great to meet and speak with so many other talented filmmakers.

All About Cody!
I am a young creator on YouTube, using my personality and charm to make hundreds of people across the internet laugh. Back in March of 2016, I started my own talk show titled Wake Up With Cody, which is a show where I talk about recent events, make comedic skits, and laugh with friends. This year, I created a new series called Cody’s Show, which is a show inspired by The Office. In this mockumentary-styled series, a documentary crew records the daily operations of a small YouTube film company led by its incompetent founder and odd internet personality, Cody Bates. (The show is not based off of my personal life, but of a fictional character who is similar to Michael Scott of The Office.) Besides those series, my channel is composed of different commentaries, skits and sketches, and fake movie trailers, as well as a plethora of other unique videos.
Throughout the last few years, I have been joined by my amazingly-talented friends who help to deliver great content as well as hilarious and relatable characters, such as Coyote Peterson who is portrayed by my friend Julian, and he was first featured back in November 2017 in a short skit titled WHERE HAS CODY BEEN?!?!
In 2018, I plan to upload a variety of new and different videos that will hopefully appeal to other groups of viewers. Stay tuned for brand-new content such as:
A brand new series where I suggest new ways to fix certain movies, TV shows, books, and more! Presented by Cody in a comedic format that is not always meant to be taken literally.
