Eazy-E and AJ Johnson on the set of 'Real Muthaphuckkin G's'. AJ Johnson also played Eazy-E in the 'Dre Day' video and Eazy-E thought it would be funny to have him come be in his video too. Halfway through finishing filming, Suge found out about it and threatened AJ with a gun, so he told Eazy-E that he couldn't continue, and Eazy said, "dont let him punk you!". But at the same time, Eazy understood him. AJ had a friend who he said could continue the shoot, so that's who filmed the rest of the video as Eazy. So for the music video, half of it is AJ as Eazy, and the other half is his friend 😂

Cindy, the sister of Clive Campbell, better known as DJ Kool Herc, played a crucial role by inviting her brother to DJ at the party, which was held in the recreation room of their apartment building at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue.

✅ At this party, Kool Herc introduced his innovative DJing technique of extending the break sections of records, a style that became the bedrock of hip-hop music. This technique involved playing the percussive breaks of two identical records consecutively, which provided a continuous beat for dancers. These dancers, referred to as "break-boys" and "break-girls" or b-boys and b-girls, were part of the culture that Cindy was also deeply involved in as a B-girl herself.

✅ Beyond her involvement at the party, Cindy Campbell is noted for her contributions to the hip-hop scene in other significant ways. She was a graffiti artist and a vital part of the early b-boying and b-girling community. Her role extended to negotiations that helped secure DJ Kool Herc's participation in the seminal hip-hop film "Beat Street" in 1984. This film was among the first to showcase hip-hop culture to a broader audience, featuring several aspects of the culture, including rapping, DJing, graffiti, and break dancing.

✅ Cindy Campbell's contributions are essential in discussions about hip-hop's origins, emphasizing not just the artistic and musical aspects but also the entrepreneurial and promotional skills that helped launch the genre. As the person who organized the event where hip-hop first made its public debut, she is rightfully seen as one of the mothers of hip-hop, highlighting the significant role women played in the genre's early days.
