the youngman ROBERT-NESTA MARLEY!
attract prospective members to my Where it all began Bob Marley fan Club here is what I am able to share with one and all.
Now there are much that I could, and would love to say, however as I wasn't thinking about sales pitch to attract prospective buyers, and I am not selling anything, and my soul purpose is to share information that was never been told before about the young man who not many out there knew much about apart from the story about him coming from the Ghetto of Trench Town, but not many knew about half the struggles that poor child had to overcome in order to get to where he is today not even Bob's own biological family.
Here I am asking for a few minutes of your time that will allows me to be able to share a few things with you about the life of the young man that I knew so well, much more than anyone around him with the exception of none barring his wife sister Ritz, and another of my adapted son of mine who as a matter of fact it was this heartical brother of mine and many others who had really caused me to first blessed my eyes on the youngman now able to work his way up to becoming the best loved entertainer of the Millinnium plus achieving many others all with his message music which happens to bring forth serious changes into the hearts, minds, and bodies of many others ,who at the time wasn't even thinking about being a singer, or if he were, the personality of the brother who was of a quiet nature and one that was always humble and respectable even to babes and suckling, and as Bob and HIGH-MAN ARE FROM THE TRIBE OF JOSEPH, AND WE BOTH HAVE A LOT IN COMMON SUCH AS MAKING OTHERS HAPPY WOULD ALWAYS BRING JOY TO OUR HEARTS SOUL AND MIND!
HOWEVER, I DID MENTIONED ABOUT THE VERY FIRST TIME I REMEMBER SEEING THE STRANGE FRESH LOOKING YOUNGMAN SITTING QUIETLY IN THE AUDIENCE OF ABOUT 5 WITH CURLY HAIR WITH THAT LOOK ON HIS FACE THAT SHOWS SIGNS OF WISHING THERE WERE SOMETHING BETTER TO DO THAN JUST THERE SITTING DOING NOTHING
that are alive until he was called for another assignment wherever his duties had called for him to be, and as it is said special things do happened to special people.
My experience with him the young man who back then myself and those at our youth club Operation Friendship would call Robby will always help to enlighten and increase the knowledge of many, and also helps to identify the truth about what it takes for him to get to where he is today, first I must admit that most of his issues had to do with him surviving in unfamiliar surroundings which was difficult even for many that was born in the neighbourhood, talking about two of the most unlikelies of places, and bruin the whole Jamaica, talking about Trench Town, and this other place called Back-A-wall, however, Robby/Bob was fortunate enough to find himself there among a few people who have a heart, and was respected in both places since anyone seen with those people is like having a passport, and as a result there was no problem for Robby to move around on his own in the neighbourhood, however, as time goes by he was able to be accepted, and became what would be called one of us! However, there is no way Robby on his own could survive in either of those two places.
Then after a while he was brought to our youth club known as Operation Friendship, situated right there in the Ghetto in Western Kingston Jamaica, where he was introduced to us all, and was welcomed by everyone, and since there was no racial prejudice among us, he was comfortable after bee made to feel like he was with the family he never had, own to the fact that neither of his parents was around. The rest I will be happy sharing with members, and those interested in the all truth story about my brethren, club member, and a mente who I will always think of as a part of my family, and responsibility to not stand by and allow others to downgrade or destroy all that I know how hard that youngman who l can remember how painful it used to be watching him going through the process trying to get to where he wanted to get to in terms of building a voice. All these are things I refuse to take with me to the Cemetery, and I unlike many others who refused to share their ideas and take it with them to the cemetery, and make it useless to mankind. I know what it means to Robby-Bob!!!!!
Gap
to do with the resilience of a young man with the ambition to become somebody and not just a number, and one that were brought to Operation Friendship Youth Club that was situated right there in the Ghetto in Western Kingston Jamaica. Where I was President of.
Now as far as
the place where the Youth Club was sittuated it was in a school building which has two floors, and school were kept there in the days, Mondays to Fridays, and at nights we would used the upper half as our club house, and was located right there at Darling Street, and was right across from the Coronation Market that was built in honour of the Queen Elizabeth visit for our Independence. Young Bob Marley was invited to Operation Friendship Youth Club by Seco Patterson the oldest man in the backing group playing those Bongo drums, and another heart-tical brethren who was a Barber with his barber shop, and was the man that would cut all of us hair including Robby as we used to call Bob long before he became famous, however with Robby coming around to not just myself, but also to a group of young people who was determined not to allow the system or our surroundings to turn us into victims and not victors which was what everyone at our youth club would always bear in mind with great desires, and would have discussion about matters pertaining to issues that could either affect or enables us to make something of ourselves, and we would also get ourselves engaged in sporting activities including from table tennis, cricket, football, and boxing all of which we were able to became good at, and entered competitions which we were able to won trophies in games such as football cricket, and boxing.
Although Bob did claims Trench Town as home, that was mainly due to the fact that that's where he was able to find shelter at nights, but in the days Darling Street was the place where he found a group of people who was able to let him feel like he was with family, and as there was quite a mix of different races which includes Chinese, and Indians living, and running business in our neighbourhood, and there was no racial prejudice among us, and at nights after all business was closed you would find football playing right there in Darling Street, and never had there ever been any fight between none of our guys.
Now that was where he Robby/Bob was able to be encouraged to tried his luck in singing, and the rest will be told to members old, and new or anyone that are interested in learning more about as the title of the fan club suggested WHERE IT ALL BEGAN! There are much to learn about the history of the young Bob Marley who back then him been without either a mother or a father figure around was able to survive by defying all odds, and became the owner of many accolades, and the love, and respect of people from many different strata of society, including the High and Nobles, and regardless of skin colour or nationality!
I am currently writing a book which is all about given an insight into my experience with the young man who I was a mentor, and a big brother to, and even while he was very much in his stardom there was certain decision to be made, and I was away on a short over seas mission, and he would put off decision making until I returned. Those are some of the main reasons for me to be doing all this that I am doing, and to prevent generations to com, and who knows that could be either his or mine greatgrand children who will be asking questions about Bob Marley as they have been asking about Michael Jackson, the Beatles, and others!
Yes, there are many people out there with useful information about many different things that if only they had been aware of the value in recording most experience we have about be it an individual, group or even places, history has proven how unfortunate that could be when someone takes vital information with them to the cemetery. I say share it, you never know!
