JONES COUNTY SHERIFF JOE BERLIN ORDERED TO ATTEND SEXUAL HARASSMENT TRAINING.
Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin and his management have been ordered by the EEOC, as part of a settlement agreement, to attend sexual harrassment training after a former deputy, Regina Newton, filed an EEOC complaint. The complaint was for sexual harrassment and discrimination.
Berlin sent a picture of the man's ge****ls to an entire group of employees (including Newton and another female employee), reportedly as a joke. HPNM covered that incident. The link to that story is below. The county also agreed to pay Newton $5,000 as part of that settlement agreement.
Newton was represented by Hattiesburg civil rights attorney, Matthew Lawrence.
