Europe Jazz Media. An overview

A number of jazz magazines from across Europe have come together under the banner Europe Jazz Media to work on common objectives in encouraging and strengthening interest in jazz and spreading awareness of the development and diversity of the music. One of the first initiatives is the Europe Jazz Media chart: a non-sales related chart that reveals some of the hot new music surfacing across the continent right now.

Since the initial meeting in Tallinn in 2010, Europe Jazz Media meet at least once a year during major European jazz industry events, such as jazzahead! – trade show, conference and showcase festival for the global jazz scene in Bremen, Germany (each April) – and/or Europe Jazz Network‘s European Jazz Conference in September.

In 2010-2014, EJM activities were coordinated by Madli-Liis Parts (Muusika, Estonia.) Since 2014, the EJM coordinator’s duties were assumed by Cyril Moshkow (Jazz.Ru, Russia.)
