In our December issue of we featured the historic Panache Woodfire Grill, in 1774 known as the Blue Horse Tavern. Owner Habib Troudi of Blue Bell’s Ristorante Castello ventured a short way down Skippack Pike to open his second restaurant, Panache Wood-Fire Grill (602 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, 215-641-9000). The polished Panache, nearly two years in the making, represents a complete gutting of the building (across from the Blue Bell Inn at Skippack and Penllyn Pikes) that has housed a series of restaurants, including Marabella’s, Blue Horse Tavern, and L’Angolo Blue. Menu is Italian/American. Neapolitan-style pizzas come out of a wood-burning, coal-fired oven tucked behind one of the two bars. Read more about this historic building in our December issue, and support our sponsor Panache! Panache Woodfire Grill

Stroll Blue Bell welcomes Agape Hair Collective to our list of wonderful sponsors who care enough about our Blue Bell Country Club Community to sponsor our neighborhood magazine! Two stylists at a nearby popular salon have ventured out on their own. After 20+ years in the industry, the owners, Melissa and Tonya, wanted to offer more than "just doing hair." They saw how often toxic chemicals are used in our everyday lives and the negative impact they can have on our health. They wanted to create a space where science and nature can live in harmony, to make people look and feel their best. By partnering with brands that share the same vision and values, they can provide this experience, using the most luxurious, clean-color brands.

Agape Hair Collective acknowledges that they would not be able to give their best to their clients if it wasn't for others. As a result, Agapé Hair Collective is dedicated to giving back, through organizations whose missions are also to help those around us who may be in need.

What a rescue story! We have a page in our Blue Bell Country Club neighborhood (over 800 homes) and a family who fosters dogs had one escape at 4 am in the morning. Tiny Brigid, a 10 lb Maltese, was frightened and skittish, and loose in a neighborhood where deer, fox, squirrel, and bunny (and an occasional wolf) sightings are common. People started the search as soon as they heard. The dog escaped into the village at the top of my street. Around 7, I decided to walk around my yard and deck with a flashlight, and a neighbor said his wife had just seen a white dog being chased by a large fox. I joined the hunt beyond my yard. There were about 6-8 of us. As the word went out, dozens more joined, up and down the street with flashlights. Brigid was found and returned around 8:30pm!

THIS IS AN AWESOME COMMUNITY!

Our November featured the dedication of Jen Foreman's Butterfly Garden located on the corner of Golfview Drive as you turn into the Homeowners' Association building (right in front of the playground). A lovely champagne toast was given in memory of Jen, original editor of Stroll Blue Bell, and wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, neighbor, and active community volunteer.

In this month of gratitude, how about giving to the Montgomery County Community College Foundation. Our neighbor across the street helps students who otherwise couldn't afford it get an education. Education allows people to avoid poverty and government assistance. Education helps people develop critical-thinking skills and make better life-enriching decisions. Education is part of the solution to many of our societal issues.
