The Puku.

So few people heard about this inquisitive antelope, perhaps because they’re only found in a select few countries in central Sub-Saharan Africa. They’ve thrived over here at Mwansa Chawa, being one of our most populous species.

It’s 7:53pm and we’re winding through tiny cobbled streets in between tavernas and churches trying to find a sunset view. Golden light everywhere, locals sitting drinking frappes, cats in abundance.

Milos. A very special place.

Meteora, Greece.

One of the most stunning sites I’ve ever visited. 6 monasteries, the oldest of which was built over 600 years ago, precariously perched on majestic rock towers. The monks built the monasteries to avoid invaders, withdrawing ladders when threatened to make entrance impossible. Apparently the idea of the Eyrie in GoT was inspired by Meteora.

On a sadder note, my backpack with all my camera gear and passport were stolen in Athens. Even worse, nothing was insured 😰 rookie.

These kind of trials seem to often happen during transitions in my life - keeping the chin up though, can’t wait to get started back in Zambia!

Goodbye Canada.

Four years has flown by. I didn’t particularly want to move to Vancouver and it took me over 2 years to even begin to see why everyone is in love with the west coast.

It was harder living here than anywhere else in my life so far, but from that came growth for which I’m extremely grateful.

In the end, it wasn’t beautiful BC that won me over. It was the tribe I found and the unexpected family I fell into. I love you all so much, thank you for everything ♥️. I can’t wait to show you around our home when you come visit Nats & I in Africa.
