Over the past few months I've been working on some fun and functional DIY projects which I have just not had the time to share. I think it's fascinating when you can breathe new life into old junk. It's more sustainable too. Swipe through to see how I took this old ready to be thrown out computer desk and just some, filler, paint and patience made it brand new and a great addition to my new office/studio.

I made my own chalk paint for this project, using a combination of white paint from and chalk powder. I have a detailed video on this that just needs to be edited. What do you think of my DIY and would you consider doing this with your own table?

A beautiful day at the Altit Fort in Hunza. We did a lazy walk through the restored village that leads to the Altit Fort gardens. And instead of rushing into the Fort, we first sat at the all female run Cafe and ordered some Hunzay crepes with a delicious combination of bitter walnut oil and sweet local honey, some fresh apricot juice and hand whipped cappuccinos. It was such an idyllic location with the most beautiful view. The fort also has the most dramatic views, just remember to watch your head because the doorways are quite low... Even for a shortie like me 😜

We live in confusing times. I am confused.. As I habitually scroll through my feeds, I hate that I can't take my gaze off this screen. One moment I'm giggling at a great meme, the next I'm shocked or saddened by some devastating news, the next is good news or a puppy video so I'm smiling again while the troubling post nags at the back of my head, keeping me up at night... Why do people do the things they do? Will we women ever feel safe? I tell myself I need to disconnect for my own mental health... I do, but then oh the followers. I come back to the conclusion that I am a terrible blogger because I'm so inconsistent and lazy unlike the other awesome hardworking bloggers out there. I only post when I want to and not every day like the others. I start comparing myself (don't do that, that's not your journey) People want constantly churned out new content for you to stay relevant. But, who cares if I'm relevant? There's a saturation of content creators anyway. It's all confusing and not even important because there's worse things in the world to think about. This is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

So I tell myself and others, do what you can and will do with passion and love and excitement, and whenever you feel like you're losing that, give yourself a break. I'm still confused because we live in confusing times in a confusing world where wrong is right and right is wrong. We are all struggling to make our path and navigate this life to the best of our abilities. So I end this here with a picture I took of myself the day before, that I liked.

When was the last time you were enraptured by the sheer magnificence of nature? Welcome to the Passu Cones.

My recommendation? Go there by motorbike. It's an unbelievable, unforgettable and incomparable experience. You can easily book a bike tour with . They're super safe and respectful... 90% of their customers are females. We went as a group of 7 women and it was awesome!

Toast your buns. Sautée sliced onions, bell peppers (and mushrooms optional) with salt and pepper and garlic powder in some olive oil and butter. Slice veal flank steak in thin strips and season well with salt and pepper. In the same pan, add more olive oil and cook the steak with some fresh garlic. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Top with some cheese (I used mozzarella and Gruyere... Provolone would be great.) Layer your steak, cheese and toppings on your bun and enjoy!
