had received a verbal musical contract for 2 years with his first vocal group, THe Explanation's managed by Chicago's own Jerry'O and his cousin Mr.Willie Moore both out of the West side of Chicago IL. Detroit recording artist .Jerry 'O whom had a local hit recording at the time with The Funk Brother's of Motown called (Karate Boogaloo) his real name was Jerry Murray when on to start his recording label (Boogaloo Records) based on Chicago's West side alone with his cousin Willie Moore of Chicago IL ..As the years rolled on for Larry Dixon he when on to record with a new group called The Soulful Spades. One special member included Larry's older brother Malvin Dixon Jr, whom also was ex-member of his first vocal group the Explanation's. The Soulful Spades also included The Walton brother's, the late Gary Walton & his brother Michael Walton all from the South side of Chicago IL.Their first & only recording with Larry was (Next Time) wrote by Larry Dixon & Michael Walton in 1970 featuring Larry Dixon as front man for the group. Larry had replaced the late (R & B Soul singer) John Knight. By the mid 1970's Larry Dixon when into the arm forces out by mid 1979 and on his own no longer with any group's, Larry had join forces with Charles Parks III and company.Charles & his group The High Society Player's from the South Suburban area of Chicago IL. Recorded & backed Larry as his studio band on his first solo artist single wrote by Larry Dixon song (Star Time) . All done on Larry's newly formed label LAD PRODUCTIONS INC. Larry then when on to record with his cousin Charlie Hosch Jr,who's stage name is (CHUCK-A-LUCK) whom had worked for Earth Wind & Fire Productions as bass player for The Emotion's as stage & back up studio musician. The Emotion's all of Chicago's South side.Had their first sucess with the late Isaac Hayes and David Porter on the Volt recording label in the late 1960's & mid 1970's.Their hit songs included (Show Me How) & (When Tomorrow Comes) was wrote by Hayes and Porter. CHUCK-A-LUCK worked with Larry Dixon on his new lable LAD PRODUCTIONS INC helped make his come back album (Can't Price Love) alone with (musician - song writer & singer) - Charles Parks III whom worked with Larry on his previons recordings,Charles & his group The High Society Player's before 1984. Larry kept in touch with long time friend James Hilliard ex-member of his first group The Explanation's as well as Larry's brother's Malvin Dixon Jr. aka (Geno Dixon) - Kenneth & Lamonte Dixon, all of whom had been in the group at one time or another while switching members around to complete the group, alone with James Hilliard included members Thomas Moore - Anthony-as-(Ricky D)- and Larry Higgins as lead singer for the group.Whom was the last member added to the group by 1968 before Larry Dixon when on to record with the Soulful Spades in 1970..
