Looks like ole Josh is trying to raise $50,000! Since creating this “Fight Back Funds” request…begging, he has successfully raised not a single cent. If he has so many people in Cordele that support him and think like him, why are they not putting their money where his mouth is and donating to his “cause”? Or better yet, he claims to have national support, why are they not supporting him?

Maybe, he has absolutely no support besides the few loud mouths and they don’t have the ability to just give him money. If you do support Josh, ask yourself if he is just full of hot air and hate at this point. Why are you supporting a person that will judge you either based on your skin color and call you a racist if you are white or call you bought if you are black and go against what he demands. Anyone that doesn’t support his causes with out question is either racist or bought.

I’m gone keep it 💯 with you…this is the most accurate thing EVER! Josh loves to pull out ol’ reliable every opportunity he can! It doesn’t matter who you are, when he is in the wrong, and someone calls him out, he pulls out the only thing he can. He believes that everyone else is the problem, when in reality he is the biggest problem Cordele has ever faced.

So this is interesting. If you go to the about section and page transparency on The Truth - Unfiltered you will find this. The Truth - Unfiltered appears to have changed their name a few time. The original story of someone running it and Devontae buying it does not add up.

Honestly, this is not something that I want to post. However, I believe it is important for everyone to see the truth. The chair keeps trying to say he is the mayor and gets his panties all in a wad and calls people racist when they don’t blindly put in place his horrible policies. He has not proposed a single thing to reduce crime! He came in with a chip on his shoulder with the Police Department and has only cemented that chip in place.

According to this article, Cordele is the third most dangerous city in GA! The chair should be ashamed!! Maybe the chair needs to look at the real problem and not worry about if he is the mayor or not or who is responsible for the budget. Man up Josh, lay your oversized ego aside and actually help Cordele prosper. From where most of us sit it looks like you don’t care for Cordele, you only want to stroke your own ego! Man up or just stay in Atlanta and let those that care about Cordele get in and fix your blunder.

So, ole Joshy Poo threw another tantrum this morning at the end of the commission meeting. He was big mad about other commissioners not giving him an opportunity to discuss, in his words, the bad behavior of the public defender. Yet, this evening this page received an affidavit that was filed with the court from the public defender telling a completely different version of Joshy Poo’s claim. It would seem, not surprisingly, that his royal highness was the one COMPLETELY out of line.

This is yet another shining example of how Joshy Poo is on an unhinged power trip. He tries to use his position to influence anyone he disagrees with no matter if they are ordinary citizens, business owners, police officers, and now public defenders. If he would put as much effort into helping the community as he does with trying to show his (self perceived) power he could have done great things in this community in the past 18 months.

It is funny how whoever runs The Truth - Unfiltered has issues with every single city commissioner, except King Deriso. It makes it seem that they might just be biased. It is also possible that they are posting what ole Joshypoo tells them to post.

Cordele City Chairman Joshua Deriso - Was he right? Is this the change that is on the Horizon?

Midways into the second year of his Reign as City Chairman, and the youngest in the history of Cordele City Government, we have to ask, “is this the change that is on the horizon?”

The often controversial, yet steadfast, City Chairman does not shy away from the fact that he is ruffling a lot of feathers with his outspoken and relentless pursuit for what he sees as a need for the city of Cordele. From his push for resources to LMI (Low to Moderate Income) families, Support to at-risk youth, incentives for healthy aging for seniors, a Westside Alliance, and a balanced scale for small business and those in need.

Chairman Deriso has a very reserved persona about him, before you get to know him, after that, he’s a wealth of knowledge and you are able to experience from a bird’s eye view, the passion and determination behind his drive and fight for diversity, equity, and inclusion here in the city of Cordele.

Frankly, and I say that with total nonbias, but if you don’t like this gentleman, then the problem has to be deeper than Chairman Deriso. He’s open, he’s upfront, and he’s honest. You get the same person all the way around. That’s just the real truth.

We’ve had the opportunity to engage in conversations around growth for not only black people in the city, but all demographics of people and I was expecting hesitation, because of the public things that have been said, but to my surprise, I got the exact opposite. He’s the same person!!!

People give him slack for being matriculated and to go even further, being matriculated from the University of Georgia, but as a fan of the school and knowing several people who attended UGA and are amazing leaders, I think the institution had a pivotal impact on his leadership style and structure. Go Dawgs 🐾

I urge every person who currently has an issue with the Chairman to reach out, without the cameras, without the crowd, and express that to him, watch how surprised you’d be at the level of transparency and openness you’ll receive. The conversation may be tough, yes, but the end result is one you’d regret taking this long to make happen.
