NectarNews.com is dedicated to gathering and reporting positive news stories, both local and global, in order to create a like-minded community interested in goodwill and positive action. The website was started by Dan Schneider, an entrepreneur and lawyer, with Dorothy Lauterstein-Doppstadt, a former national award-winning ABC News editor and journalism professor. She and her former students from

Fordham University and Manhattan College, were interested in making positive changes in the community and around the world through original news stories, pro bono. It is now run by the non-profit Florence Belsky Charitable Foundation (www.flobel.org) , as a public service. The new editor is Nicole Johnson, a recent graduate of NYU and a young advisor to the Foundation. Our goal is to post True, Original and Positive news to education and inspire.”
The Nectar News team is on a search for positive, uplifting and thought-provoking stories to feature on the site in the new year and we would like to feature YOUR stories and events on the site.
