⚠️⚠️ATTENTION MIDDLE FORK BOATERS: A debris flow and log jam near Velvet Falls downstream from the Boundary Creek Boat Launch on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River (Middle Fork), has entirely obstructed the river. The Middle Fork is upstream of Indian Creek Boat Launch is inaccessible and unpassable at this time. Middle Fork boaters will need to launch from Indian Creek Boat Launch site or another launch site further downstream of Indian Creek. We will continue to monitor the debris flow(s) and associated log jam(s). For the foreseeable future boaters should plan on launching their Middle Fork Trip from Indian Creek Boat Launch site or another launch site further downstream of Indian Creek. For the most up to river information call the Salmon – Challis National Forest River Clerk at 208-756-5587 or 208-481-2625.
