Impetus Gaming and The Great Journey.
Impetus Gaming, formed in May 13th, 2017, as a team that focused in the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. Back in that day, we were just a bunch of casual players who dream about how it feels to play in the major tournaments for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege such as ESL (Electronic Sports League) Pro League, Six Invitational, etc. At that time, there’s no Pro League spot for Asia Pacific (APAC) yet, even the weekly GO4R6S still not around, there’s only community cup that we can join every Sunday, held by ESL.
A month after Impetus Gaming was formed, we decided to join our first ever community cup. Lots of great teams participating. We lost at the quarterfinal. Even tho we didn’t bagged the cup, that result were totally boost our confidence to the sky.
With only strong will, all of us agree to aim at the bigger stage after that, the ESL Pro League. Totally sounds impossible back then, like we said, there’s no Pro League spot for APAC just yet. ESL only provides slots for teams from North America (NA) and Europe (EU). But we do believe, that someday, that day will come.
Training and training. That’s the only thing that we do everyday (actually until now). Grinding ranked, figuring out new strategies, adapting with the new meta ingame, literally everything to be prepared for the ESL Pro League.
The prayer of APAC players came true. ESL announce (not officially announced, we are notified from the ESL’s Discord group) that APAC will finally got a spot in Pro League. We’re so excited to join. We climbed out our rough way in. We finished 7th in the qualifiers, and secured the spot for our first Pro League, which we finish at 5th place.
Cup after cup, qualifier after qualifier, here’s our achievements so far (online tournaments, sort by date of event, excludes community cups) :

At the Malaysia 6 Championship, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We finished as the 1st Runner Up (2nd Place) and that’s our first LAN tournament, and our first meet up in real life.
In January we won Clique Series 1.0 Rainbow Six Siege hosted by COVE.
In Season 9 we got the chance to be back dispite being 4th place in Challenger league and we ended in the last place but because of two other team pullout from the league we did not face relegation.
From the result of season 9 we know that we are in need of some changes so we bring in new blood 3 new player and 1 coach to level up our play.
For the first half we are in a wreck and during the break we’ve decided to play with one of the new member and the coach to form the new main five. From that we manage to push through and ended in 4th Place.

Dedication, commitment, teamwork, and discipline. Those are our key to reach our state right now. Satisfied with our state now? No, we’re not. We are not stopping. We won’t stop. We will keep striving. We will pave our path to the top. This all just the beginning. From nothing, to something.
