Enjoy Christmas music but don't want to hear it exclusively? Christmas LITE is coming to Birmingham's Lite 99 on Monday, December 9 at 9 am! It's all of your lite & easy favorites you normally hear on Lite 99, with your favorite Christmas music sprinkled in for good measure.

YES, you can take us with you and listen 24 hours a day while you're driving, doing Christmas shopping or wherever you're out and about in the Magic City! We're available on many free mobile apps including TuneIn, Online Radio Box, Radio Garden, Simple Radio, just to name a few. You can also give us a listen at BirminghamLite.com (link is compatible with your smartphone and other mobile devices, too).

Listen to us on your Alexa smart speaker as well! Just say the following command to your Amazon smart speaker to add our station skill:

PATTERN FLIP: The long awaited “pattern flip” is about 7-10 days away (toward the end of next week). The upper ridge that has been keeping us warm and mostly dry will finally break down, opening the door for colder air and more frequent rain producing systems.

Across social media platforms you will hear rumors of tornadoes and snow, but here is the situation this afternoon…

*Some rain is likely ahead of the front and upper trough over the latter half of next week, but there is no clear signal of any severe thunderstorm threat for the Deep South at this point.

*Yes, a cold core upper low/trough will be over the eastern and southern U.S. by the end of the week, but forecast thermal profiles really don’t support any meaningful snow around here. Yes, it can happen, but snow flakes are very rare in Alabama in November.

*Following the rain there is a chance we could see a freeze at some point in the November 22-25 time frame, but it is way too early for a specific forecast.

*A hurricane could very well impact the Florida Peninsula (Sara) by the middle of next week, but the upper air changes should keep this far south of the Central Gulf Coast.

Of course, with any weather forecast things could change, so watch for updates in coming days.
