Shots Fired

On Saturday, February 8th, at 9:50pm, officers responded to the 500 block of Mill Street for a report of possible shots fired. Investigating officers responded and were unable to locate any evidence at that time.

On Sunday, February 9th, a secondary canvassing of the area was conducted and confirmed that shots had been fired. Detectives are actively investigating this incident, and updates will be provided as they become available.

Dozens of Emergency crews and other authorities are currently on the scene of a major pipeline explosion in La Porte, Texas, which has forced the evacuation of hundreds of residents as well as nearby homes and businesses.
