Hey guys! I haven’t logged in in quite awhile, as you’ve probably noticed (sorry lol). I am alive! But I don’t animate so much anymore these days for my own mental and physical health. Animation is a lot of work, and many years ago I was quite manic and hyperfocused, which is how I was able to focus and produce my own animations. I was thrilled with working and enjoyed the creative process, but it came at a personal and physical cost that wasn’t sustainable. I got severely depressed a few years ago, sought help, and have been on the mend ever since. These days I’m more focused on my other passions: writing, and animal rescue.
I might revisit Canary 751 sometime in the future. It’s still there in my head, wanting to be finished (the storyboarding process was like 1/2 finished when I stopped), but I haven’t been in the right mindset to dive back in.
Your guys’ passion for the project is really inspiring! It brings tears to my eyes, truly. I’m so touched by it. Thank you for supporting it for so long, and don’t give up on it completely. It’s waiting in the wings.
Take care of yourselves in this crazy world. ❤️
