For Your Eyes Only!

In this modern news based online reporting age, articles from any source can find themselves being shared worldwide and in the process go viral. This is how the internet works.

With big media agencies this isn't a problem, but actually a plus. With smaller internet news agencies like ourselves it can cause a lot of issues and has caused some outage for our news reporting the past month.

Let me explain a little. Our media licence only allows for residents of Folkestone (or nearby surrounding areas) to view the articles we publish, so if one of our pieces gets shared or viewed elsewhere in the world by a lot of viewers our licence becomes overly burdened and automatically closes it's network.

After some research by out technical team, this looks to have been caused by one article that was shared in Belgium and went locally viral for around nine hours and caused our licence to block itself.

Our licence was essentially over capacity, and only yesterday it came back online so we could begin to get some local informative news back out to you, the viewer. It took our tech team a while to clear out the licence, but it looks to be up and running now.

So if you could help us, by telling anyone you might know who lives outside the area, to please view their own local websites, as we only have a certain amount of people we can service at one time.

Thanks for listening and we aim to be back hitting you with the latest local news as soon as possible!

Are 5G phone masts causing weather chaos in Capel?

Since the emergence of 5G technology, many health and local issues seem to have been linked to this new telecommunication super technology. From nose bleeds, to unbalanced homes, angry pets, and missing items, there always seems to be something negatively linked.

A reader who wishes to remain anonymous and lives in the beautiful Capel-Le-Ferne thinks this technology and specifically the masts nearby are causing yet another problem in the local area.

For the past year, our reader has been monitoring the thickness or 'soupyness' as they like to call it, as well as how often a thick fog or mist envelops the area.

They told us - "Ever since they put in the new 5th Generation tech, the fog issues have just become so much more apparent. In years gone, I could easily go out in the garden for a tab, but now I can barely see anything when the fog rolls in..."

They continued to say - "I watched some videos on the Youtube about about these 5G masts, joined some of the facebook groups and it totally opened my eyes, so then I started to keep notes on each fog rush. I throw a mug with a tomato in it down the garden, and see how far it gets before it glitches or pauses and I can't see it anymore due to this new digital fog. I think my neighbours think I'm crazy, but I know this it the only way I can think of to prove it."

From the data and studies we were provided, we can also confirm that this new 'digital fog' is much thicker and harder to see through. One unique outcome of these tests was that the fog has a unique smell to it.

"It's like mixing a load of batteries in a bowl and throwing them out of a window, it just stinks and smells like a train going by on fire.."

As we at Folkestone Kent News Online found, this is a deeply interesting story which has probably affected more people in the area, but they are probably scared to speak out.

Have you been affected by this new 5G Digital Fog? Please tell us in the comments.

Folkestone Big Cat Spotted Again!

A stunned local resident has told us that they had the shock of their lives recently when they spotted the Folkestone Big Cat when they were returning home from a party. “I had heard they (big cats), had been seen in the area, but I never thought it would happen to me. It was huge. It ran away past some garages before I could think to get my phone out. It definitely wasn’t a dog or a horse“.

Tell us about your unusual local sightings in the comments below.

Super loud bang disrupts residents morning and spreads panic.

Did you hear a loud bang this morning like many residents of Folkestone? Were you walking in the area and did you see startled birds fleeing the area?

Reports came in earlier today of a very loud bang type sound which startled hundreds of birds, according to a post on a popular Facebook group.

The original post said:

' What on earth was that massive bang, sent the birds mental??? '

This was then followed by hundreds of replies also confirming the existence of a loud sound which seemed to emanate from around the Radnor Park Area, but was even heard as far away as Cheriton.

A resident who witnessed the sound Ioana Georgina Scott, who posted a reply comment:

"Heard it at Radnor park, no idea ..."

and another concerned Facebook user Kal Tizbury also commented:

"Heard it Dolphins it was LOUD !!!"

Another Facebook user also mentioned:

"It could be Russia!"

One resident who didn't want to be named told us that they hoped everyone in the area was ok, and we at Folkestone Kent News Online second this thought.

As far as we currently know, the source of the sound has not yet been confirmed but there is a possibility that a dustbin lorry had a loud and aggressive puncture, which then started the birds and terrified nearby residents.

We have reached out to Folkestone & Hythe Council and MP Damian Collins for comment.

Taking Folkestone into the Future!

With fresh new staff and energy come fresh new ideas. We would like to welcome you to the launch of Folkestone's very own crypto currency - FOLKOIN

As some of our more tech savvy readers will know, the crypto cashcoins are taking over the world with their ease of use. You can spend them anywhere and everywhere and we are hoping that Folkestone will become the world's first 'Crypto Town'.

Just imagine walking through the town centre and buying your daily milk and v**e juice with just a tap of your phone on an official FOLKOIN terminal, sitting in an authorised shop that takes FOLKOIN as payment. It's what dreams are made of.

Our media intern has mocked up a visual to show you virtually what FOLKOIN might look like as it sits in cyberspace above our beloved town.

What do our readers think about FOLKOIN and are they excited for the avenues this technological advancement will open?

We will share more news on this ultra exciting concept very soon!
