# 1 US-VACANCY: A GODLY STATESMAN-PRESIDENT
Never has there been a more evident vacuum in sane, dignified – and let’s say it – godly! - political leadership in the world. No matter where you look, you see lame bureaucrats, non-committal placeholders, oversized egos driven by approval ratings, utopian dreamers and screamers, wannabe emperors in political muscle-shirt, gun-toting generals and even the lead character thrown in from the Argentinian chain-saw massacre.
If you have watched the “presidential debate” between Biden and Trump yesterday, and you are honest-to-God about this, then you will know: none of these two have presidential qualities. Spare me the details. But look with me at what this means from God’s perspective: Just like in the days of the fatally disobedient nation of Israel that had rejected God as their ruling King, God said, as a judgment:
I gave you a king in my anger, and took him away in my wrath (Hosea 13:11).
So, silly “kings” are part of God showing his strong displeasure with nations that have rejected Jesus as their king, rejected his law (of Christ), his Kingdom economy and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
What we will see next is the eye of the storm: a quick and striking global vacuum in political leadership that prepares the stage for Mr. Fix-it-all, someone that a lot of people will fall for. A guy that will claim peace (corps...), security (cameras…) prosperity and debt relief for all, and even claims a special connection to God.
