After watching the music industry climate change over recent years, DJ, producer and composer Scorch Felix (previously known as DJ Farouche), decided to launch Frequent Records in an attempt to help increase the frequency of quality releases. Based in London, the EDM label puts its focus into electro, progressive & House. As a prolific producer, Felix wanted to give himself and other artists the o

pportunity to get their product out, rather than following the old label formula of sending in demos and waiting for a reply. Frequent Records is a small label now, but with over 18 years of experience, Felix has developed an unprecedented ear for good music.

“It’s a, great moment when you hear a well-produced and mixed track,” Felix said. Although the new label itself hasn’t seen chart success yet, Scorch Felix has. With Daniel Portman’s remix of “You’re All I Want” reaching No. 5 on Beatport’s minimal chart. His earlier single ‘Full Frontal’ (Souther Fried) garnered support from the likes of Axwell, A-Trak and The Bloody Beetroots, with his follow up single ‘Taking Me Back’ received equal support from the likes of Steve Aoki, and Markus Shultz, the ambitious label boss has set his standards high, inevitably leading Frequent Records and its artists down a path of success.
