The Household of faith is not only 1-home, it says in the book of Galatians that it is those who believe in the New Testament of God.

And let us not be weary in welldoing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6 :9 - 10

That wicked man, a serpent going to and fro in the land, and the world seems to be on fire as Satan laughs. He pits you against me, he divides the people against each other stating that there is a purity in Hatred. And Jesus Christ says none is good, save only Father God, He is Good. Let us praise God, for there is war in the Old Testament of the Bible, There are Evil Kings, and people of power doing Evil things.

Even the so called Good, look to Evil for validation, for Right is Right, and the wicked won't last long, for God will not be Mocked. The House hold of faith has power to fight the storms and the people of earthly storms of earthly power.

The power is Prayer of the Righteous, Avails much, but leave now the vanity that says I am the righteous, only Jesus Christ is the righteous, if you must, then only God is the Righteous. And Jesus is our prayer warrior, and the Household of faith, orders their prayer.

There are prayers unto the Righteous, called it right now prayers, call them effective, delivered unto the Holy Ghost, who delivers them to the Right Hand of God. Iron sharpens Iron, to bring about the betterment of the Household of faith, not by knowledge, but by power delivered unto the intended by God.

Receive this as we pray, as men and women of God have prayed for the Power of God, Hallelujah! He knows what we have need of, He is not dead, Jesus lives, Amen

A National Day of Mourning, I Rebuke The Devil, In The Name Of Jesus, was held for Sonya Massey of Springfield Illinois, the young Mother of Malachi Massey that was unjustly killed by a policeman's bullet. May She Rest In Eternal Peace With The Lord

God Bless her family, friends, Attorney Ben Crump and her son with Peace that surpasses all understanding, as a Black Nation and the land of the God fearing stand in need in this heart breaking time.

But let us not compare tears and sorrows from 1619 until the present day 2024. Yesterday served fresh tears, as did God serve Renewed Blessings. Stay with God, fall short as we all do, from time to time, but speak the Truth of God over your life, not devilish lies.

God is a mystery, so is the life He gives with His fearful Design, now is not the time to lean on man's wisdom, for man who follows the logic and power of the world, does not believe in the Everlasting Father Jesus Christ. Amen

Lose your place with the crowd of doubters, gain your place in Heaven, as Malachi tells the truth to all the do good-ers and all the thought to bad and those who do bad things on purpose of serving the spirit of wickedness in high places.

Malachi the son of Sonya Massey tells a truth by his name, by his standing up with a broken heart and by his Spirit, being lifted by the Holy Spirit. See the Prophet Malachi, his truth is marching on.

This is the Essence

Last Moments of Women’s History Month

Before there were shelves and shelves of black feminist works to choose from. And for young black church girls too conservative in the 1970s and 1980s to appreciate black feminist essays, poems and books by women like Audre Lorde, Michelle Wallace, and June Jordan. We remember this month our debt to Essence’s editors-in-chief Marcia Gillespie in the 1970s and Susan Taylor in the 1980s and 1990s for the columns they wrote every month for their magazine’s readers. Like so many of that generation I looked forward each month to holding in my hand the newest issue with some stunningly beautifully airbrushed black face (or faces) on its cover. I remember spending hours pouring over the articles, beauty tips, fashion spreads, advice columns, etc. on the pages of Essence. But the editor’s columns were most special to many of us. They were bibles to some of us, a cool drink of water for others of us. Although the two women were different in style and temperament, both managed to pen columns that were sisterly, soulful and yet serious, striking just the right tone required to guide ordinary black female readers into what I like to call a softer vibe of black feminism, one that celebrated black women’s realities, faith, magic and accomplishments without demanding too much of women (and the men they love). LOL.

Marcia Gillespie and Susan Taylor held the magazine down in the decades that needed their brand of leadership. And both connected with her own readers. I know. I was an Essence writer during both of their tenures (with the help of an excellent editor Stephanie Stokes Oliver). Essence editors were our public intellectuals before we knew what that was. They wrote to and for a generation of everyday black women who in the 70s and 80s and beyond who were coming to consciousness and needed voices they trusted to navigate changes happening in the culture. Essence struggled to survive in the shadow of white magazines like Vogue and Glamour. There were always advertisers policing the magazine and threatening to pull ads because some content they deemed problemmatic. The editors often found themselves called into meetings to defend the magazine’s direction, content, and expenses by the black male owners and investors who had offices upstairs. But the black women editors stood their grounds like they admonished their readers every month to do. And worked with extraordinary teams of people to produce a magazine thousands of black women looked forward to reading. The magazine would eventually surrender to the changing times and migrate online like so many other magazines of that era. But my memories of Essence are of its blackness and beauty standing out on a magazine rack filled with other women’s version of reality. Special thanks to Essence editors Marcia Gillespie in the 1970s and Susan Taylor in the 1980s and beyond who helped transform women’s lifestyle magazines as a vehicle for capturing and fomenting and changing the way black women viewed themselves.
