With a career spanning the last 20 years and his musical influences based in 90s rave culture, as well as a solid music knowledge gained from working in one of Bristol’s best known record shops, Nifty had a strong start in the music scene. Responsible for founding and running one of Bristol's longest running nights, ‘Homegrown’, which was voted ‘Best Techno night’ in the South West by Mixmag, Nift
y was a regular at the then legendary Lakota, where you could find him playing alongside all the usual big names. His ability to whip the dance floor into a frenzy didn't go unnoticed & he then got plenty of gigs playing further afield from France to Croatia and the obligatory Ibiza appearances. With a desire to do more than just play other peoples’ records, naturally the next step was to begin producing his own material. Under various production guises of D Cee, Duncan Crane, and Ulterior Motive, a few early experimental releases were born. Most recently he has gone back to his roots by returning to his original moniker of Nifty.
